Step 2 is unnecessary, there are many rocket scientists at ULA, Boeing, SpaceX, OrbitalATK, Blue Origin, etc that do not work at NASA. Maybe they USED to work there, true, but not right now. The Jedi Master

JM, thank you for that clarification. Tigerwulf, our food is crap and our modern lifestyle is crap. For many of us (especially those of us who have f'd their bodies up from years, if not decades of obesity), we have to constantly be aware of what we eat and how much exercise we get. It shouldn't be this way. It wasn't this way many decades ago but now it's a constant struggle, anyone born today already has the cards stacked against them, IMO. If it's easy for you, that's wonderful (really ). Some people (like my wife) never really had to worry about [excessive] weight gain, common among Ectomorphs. We have a nephew in his 20's who is the same way, skinny as all hell, gets his genetics from his grandfather (wife's father), although his mom (wife's sister) is well beyond morbid obesity. If genetics can help keep you slim, there has to be an opposite effect for some, which adds to the difficulty. You can't just eat less, you have to eat right. Age also makes a big difference, if I had put in the effort at 20 that I'm putting at 48, holy crap I'd look and feel good!

I use to be 100kgs in past. I took a divorce and new my way of life. Nowdays 78kg or so Being that the OP's video is as much about relationship problems as it is loosing weight... Being married can hurt, once you get all cozy and comfortable and the ideal evening becomes eating out, getting drive thru or pizza delivery, followed by an evening of television. We did this for 20 years, or at least until we started spending our evenings in separate rooms after dinner. My health scare at 40 (and soon after her's too, with heart disease) forced a re-evaluation of our lifestyle. We decided after leaving my emergency doctor's appointment that we stilled cared enough about each other to try to figure it out together, even after previously deciding that we were no good for each other (I'm surprised she'd stuck around for *that* long, would have been a clean and amicable split). I give myself ~80% of the blame for our problems, although nothing terminal like infidelity. It may not be rocket science, but making permanent lifestyle changes later in life is hard as hell! For me it took mentally going back before it went so wrong (which was right after the honeymoon? ). Nah, the first few years were pretty good I guess, when we were both home. But my weight gain started long before the wedding, from the first time I had Sunday BBQ at her grandparents. I'd never seen such big people and so much food in my life and I ate it up (pun intended). Of course in my earlier story, leaving my wife for my HS sweetheart was just a figure of speech, she's technically the same person and I was the jerk husband. I killed that fat balding bastage much like Darth Vader killed Luke's father, while my girlfriend murdered my nagging, overbearing and "weight is YOUR problem, not mine" unmotivated enough to care wife (good riddance). Now we work together and provide encouragement for living a healthy lifestyle. She knows what motivates me, and I've worked hard these days to give her reasons to keep motivating me. I guess it works both ways, though. So marriage can be good OR bad for achieving and maintaining weight loss! Mine has been both.

How to keep slim: live on a hillside, don't own a car, have a minimum 20 minute walk at a 7% grade to the grocery store, buy your own groceries, don't use a cart to carry them home, just take what you can carry.
So have a job at home, then. Not exactly something most people can do. If I wanted to walk to buy groceries it would be more like 40 minutes to the closest one that doesn't even have all that we need. Oh, and frozen stuff would all melt before we got it home. The Jedi Master

I never claimed it was practical. Just effective. Lumpy country is the best for exercise, and depriving yourself of wheels ensures you'll employ it. Well, don't worry, the robots will be putting us all out of a job soon anyway

About everyday moving. I do slowmo squats while washing my teeth morning and evening. At work I don't use elevator. I always go via stairs. Sometimes very quickly stepping every steps. Sometimes very slowly, only using a every third steps. I do not use elevator in malls etc. if possible (edit) And I'm carrying the shopping bags with my two fingertips only. Yes, people are watching but I give damn about it

Some years back I had a worktrip to the US. My engineer and I had somewhat thirsty throats after the whole day jabbing in the meeting over the obvious. We asked from the hotel desk about the local pubs nearby. You know, pubs within WALKING distance. No. No within walking distance, because the closest pub one was within 200 yards away. "You NEED a car...". Yeah right! We walked over the street and get totally waisted and walked back. Shame of us

Even the parking lot tram attendants want to argue with you to ride and not walk (there's a designated walking path). That's because it's dangerous with those same texting individuals driving their cars in the lot... The Jedi Master

wasted = drinking too much waist = between the stomach and hips on a human waisted = exercising your stomach area. you used the wrong spelling for wasted which changed the sentence to seem like you exercised when in fact you just got blackout drunk and stumbled home
