I love this plane. Now if only I could stay on the hose when I'm refueling...

F-16s didn't even have BVR weapons. The early versions of these planes are so far behind the modernized versions. The capability leap in upgrades is essentially a new "generation" of fighters. Not disputing that. But unless I'm mistaken, the M2000C in DCS is the one around today. You can hardly say the same for the F-16.

It's a 2000C. If you want cooler things on-board you'd be looking for a 2000-5 or today's 2000-9.

My respect for RAZBAM has increased tenfold after buying into this plane. If they ever make another, I'm definitely a day 1 buyer. What Sethos88 said! I'm loving it more and more. The A-7 will be a first day buy for me as well as the Super Tucano that they just announced.
People in aviation who think they know it all, are particularly annoying to those of us who really do Razor Air Group 51

Most did get a massive upgrade but I am sure there are still original A blocks flying. It doesn't make much sense to compare a 1980s Mirage 2000 to a late 2000s F-16. A better comparison would be the -5F or -9. Which, by the way, can carry up to 8 air to air missiles which is more than the 6 of the latest F-16s.

Why bring the Viper into this thread? My favorite plane btw.
Yeah, Razbam is doing a great job here. Fun to fly both A-A and A-G. Money well spent imho.
Because for a lot of people, the Viper is... :puts on sunglasses: the benchmark simulation. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

Well, IRL it's a competing product on the export market, and both families of aircraft have evolved to roughly the same general capabilities. That said, to me it's all about the mission design. If you just drop the M2KC into a mission built around an F-15C, it's not going to go well... If it's treated like what it is, a mid-cold war era interceptor, with a eye towards taking out errant nuclear bombers, you can have some fun.

Hey NavyNuke, that was pretty funny. Didn't know EE's had a sense of humor :-) The university system could not brainwash the nuke-ness out of him! Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all weekend.

Most F-16s produced were As.
Crikey that doesn't look correct, the C/D exceeds A/B production numbers and has been ongoing from around 1983/4. The FAV are an example of a user operating old F-16AB Block 15s because they fell out with the supplier (USA) thus appear to be replacing them with Flankers.

Qatar uses the 2000C. I see them flying around sometimes. In the sim it is a great plane. I prefer to do a2a in it. RAZBAM has done a great job and lets hope they keep bringing us planes.
