I haven't played ED for ages, but I'm now bored so.... Can I add my ED to steam? I bought into the Beta just before launch. And.. whats the cheapest way to get Horizons given that I have the Beta ED under my belt. And... and and and what does Horizons give me that ED "original" don't. I have looked at the website but the info is fragmented and not overly clear.

I don't know why you'd want to add ED to Steam. ED has it's own launcher which keeps the game up-to-date, so no need for Steam.

Horizons is also on sale for £19.99 --- and they seem to have renamed it "season pass" which is more in line with the easily-understood terms used today. From what I can tell, you can buy Elite on sale at £10, then the "season pass" called "Horizons" for £19.99, or you can buy the bundle at £39.99. Makes more sense now.

However, doesn't a "season pass" mean you get EVERYTHING for a game? AFAIK, games like The Witcher 3 only have one "season." I guess ED will have a few "seasons," if that makes any sense. biggrin

As for what Horizons gives you -- Click for link!

Is it worth it? It depends. I've personally not bothered much with planetary landings and SRV stuff, but I do look forward to 2.1, 2.2, and onwards. biggrin

Cheer's Ice.
I got a steam link for Christmas so I'm planning catching up with Elite from the comfort of my sofa. Having it steamed means it should work with the steam controller over the link. I just have to persuade the kids to read a book so I can haz the TV.
Fallout 4 didn't go too well when Sean's Mum got blown away unexpectedly and my youngest had to go to bed in shock.

Won't Elite work with the Steam controller by default?
