Last night I found a video Hellshade posted introducing basic air-to-air tactics.

He made it for BHaH, but the general principles hold true. I instantly became a much better fighter, going from about 10-15% to about 30% hits, and from constantly scrambling for my life to usually being in control. It even helped my tendency to stall and spin out.

Thanks!

Thanks from me too Hellshade, it was a great watch, always learning, it´s better to be humble and learn a bit every patrol. My amazing ability to stall after following climbing enemies and losing their sight is epic.

You are welcome gentleman. Watching it again makes me realize how far the AI in WOFF has come over OFF:BH&H. I need to make a new one when WOFF X comes out. While the principals of the video still hold true, there are a few more tricks that a pilot needs to employ (IMHO) to counter those wiley and skilled AI in WOFF. I wouldn't be surprised if they learn even more tricks in WOFF X, but time will tell.

Great film, and it makes me to wish for multi player all the more.

Flying head to head with you would be a "handfull"! But I would look forward to it.

It is something all of the "rookies" should see over and over.

Wow, I had forgotten about this video! I think I came across it while I was mired in the middle of nowhere working on my M.A. OFF and posting a LOT on the boards back then kept me sane.

Would very much like to see some updated tactics. The new AI are insanely difficult!
