Ok, I give up. I can't come up with a good name so I'm offering a little contest with a price to make it interesting. The rules are simple, post your/s proposed name/s. If what you proposed is the winner (chosen by... me I guess, forum input will also steer my decision) I'll give you a gift code from GOG/Steam for whatever game you choose (small print: under or equal to $50). But "name for what" you ask? Well, here's the thing: I'm writing a piece of firmware and PC software that will turn an Arduino / Teensy whatnot into a joystick. Basically. The whole thing is very customizable to suit a wide range of needs (namely what's connected to the board as inputs). But also, it will allow you to have profiles you create and upload to the board ala Thrustmaster's TARGET or Saitek SST. I first went with Blue Condor, given that the icon/logo is a... blue... bird... ( ) and other cool birds names were taken and the condor is our national bird so... meh But then the name started sounding silly, so I went with Profileable Joystick Firmware... "profileable" is not a word so profile-able, profile-enabled were also options but still sounds like crap. After a couple weeks I just don't know what to name it. So that's your job if you want to play The Witcher 3 for free. Begin!
When you're feeling sad, just remember that somewhere in the world, there's someone pushing a door that says "pull".

Is this aimed for those who already know what they're doing? Or is part of the target those who are "on the fence" about this sort of thing and encourage them to try? I'm thinking instead of naming it something that only current users will recognize (TARGET, Saitek SST, FOXY), name it something recognizable even for the new user. Suggestions: ANY Stick - turn any stick into a flight stick. Or will work with any stick. Teensy Flight Maybe describing more of the features/capabilities of the hardware will give us more ideas.

It's a generic and customizable version of this: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4212568/My_multifunction_panel-keyboar#Post4212568 The target audience is hard to tell. How much you need to know depends on what you want to do, from "nothing, just plug some cables into the controller and follow the instructions" to "do that but also code your own input handling system"... I'd say that if somebody will be interested in this, it will be because they want to build a "home brew Warthog/ Saitek/CH": a joystick that's just a joystick (easy) until you want it also send keystrokes and change axis curves at the press of a button (not so easy but not so hard neither, or that's the idea at least ).

ACME HappyFunStick- ACME: the most trusted and reliable name in innovative products since 1920. - ACME: If it's good enough for Wile E Coyote, it's good enough for everyone! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acme_Corporation

Azul Custom Flight Controller
If you spend enough time thinking about names, everything starts to look and sound silly. That doesn't mean that it is. "Blue Condor" is about as good or bad as most other choices. It's public perception that decides whether it's perceived as "cool" or not, and that's a matter of marketing, not naming. Schwarzenegger's heavy Austrian accent was considered a ridiculous obstacle to his film career ambitions until the kids started to imitate it. Coolness is all about perception.
That said, there's my alternative. Ties in with your logo, and I suppose the Condor was originally chosen because a bird name was needed to give the association of flight. The logo is good. Just two colors, easily distinguishable, will also translate well to black&white print or greyscale where necessary. It's easily recognizable as a bird but generic enough like the Linux penguin, which could stand for pretty much anything (except flight).

if by any chance these suggestions get picked, keep the 50 (I would characterise that as an extreme value event lol).

The ACME tie-in to WileECoyte is actually pretty good (at least for folks with a sense of humor).
Plus the OP of this thread's handle is WileECoyote
