Now that it's been out a little while in the dev branch does anyone have opinions on the Eden editor?

Frankly I'm loving it so far. It makes so many trivial things available via the UI versus having to script. Scripting has a place (setting up complex AI like a CAS mission or something) but I've always been ticked that it takes a half hour to control basics like what weapons are in a crate or putting a laptop on a table.

Plus it comes with the 2D editor built in and improved (FINALLY we have object boundaries instead of only icons).

Big thumbs up here! Now if we could only get full arsenal integration, in-game HTML editing (for briefings and such) and an official Notebook++ syntax addon we'd all be golden biggrin

I like it overall from the short play tests i did with it, but for some things (triggers, syncing, grouping etc) i think the 2d editor is better personally smile

That's the beauty of it, the 2D editor is a simple click away and you have a nice clean map to work from biggrin

I actually saw that plugin. Does it work well? My only fear is if it's updated a lot slower than BI ads/changes commands it could get confusing.
