It's currently in alpha state and not fully released, but it's been updated and we're giving it a go for a few years.

To entice you lurkers to come on Saturdays, here are some screenshots of the the mod. (helo is base A3)

It's actually a nice little themed mod given my little playtesting of it. The map is pretty decent too.

The website says something about some Huey package to use. Are we going to use that?

Linebacker, that video gives me a virtual hardon.

I'm working on a mission now that utilizes the default littlebird. I'll swap in the Hueys if we get them later. Hopefully the littlebird is good enough for now. :P

Just to clarify, when we show up on Saturday, we only enable the Unsung mod? Do we disable all the SimHQ stuff or is it ok to just leave it on?

Hadn't played arma really since the Alpha (that big island is still a mystery to me), but so far really enjoyed the sessions with the Unsung mod. Would recommend people give it a throw.

This is a group of mods in use on a server, might be worth having a look through. Includes a 20x20km terrain http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=598548489

We were talking about Air Cav Vietnam Sunday night on TS.

My only concern was that I don't want people to not show if we start adding big mods to download. But if everyone is cool with it and will still play, I'd love to see us add the package.

Having Hueys and more period gear would be excellent.

While I'm showing up for the Sunday/Monday sessions, these Vietnam sessions are my favorite right now. It's all just so fresh and different.

Meatshield and I have both looked at the AirCav stuff a couple of weeks back. We're not going to be going with that at the moment. Quite a few errors occur when you try to load the map and mod. It could lead to server instability, etc. The map is quite large and there are a few cool area, but some areas aren't really the best. I like the units in the air cav mod, but I think some of those units give errors as well. Meatshield might be able to speak on that more. If the vehicle errors, etc. get sorted out, I think it would be a good mod to use.

There are a couple of maps from ARMA 2 that we're considering. The maps themselves are not that large, but they require CUP-Terrain mod to be installed, which is large. Meatshield is playing with the files to minimize the download impact. We will then see if it's worthwhile to install.

salute ***ATTENTION TO ORDERS***salute

In the meantime...we will be using the Huey addon from this Saturday (1/23) forward. For those intending to play Vietnam on SimHQ, you will need.

Meatshield, would you please add this to the first page of this thread?

By the way, there is a steam subscription link on the download page. I used that so it automatically stays up to date, is that ok ?
