Hi guy's, perhaps not the place to ask, but I wonder I have a Wathog HOTAS, Saitek throttle and Crosswind pedals, do I still need the keyboard and muose to fly Il-2? The first wood is cut for my 'ply-play seat'and I would like to know if I need to make some a mouse-pad and a keyboard support.

I'd make those regardless, since you might need to manipulate the pause menu from time to time.

As an alternative, something like this might be a good compromise:

^I actually have one arriving today, plan to use it with Steam Link. I can post feedback here once I've had a chance to play with it.

Hi Henk,

I wanted the ability to move the mouse cursor around and select things while in my pit (actual PCs and keyboards are outside), so I got a cheap keyboard with built in trackball. I ripped the trackball mechanism out as a unit and fitted it in a small box and fitted that just in front of the side mounted joystick. Works great and doesn't look out of place.

Just a thought,

Andy

AndyB, out of curiosity, what joystick is that?

When you're feeling sad, just remember that somewhere in the world, there's someone pushing a door that says "pull".

If space is really thigh You can program the Warthog to avoid using mouse and keyboard.

Thanks for all the good advise guy's, think I'll go for a separate keyboard and mouse support.

Hi Henk,

Sokol is correct it's an old Suncom F15 joystick that was ripped apart and rebuilt.
