First I heard of it. I enjoyed the original Cloverfield* in theatres but upon subsequent viewings found it tedious. I'd hoped that they would make a sequel and I'll give this a shot - probably on DVD, though.
* Seeing Odette Yustman on the big screen helped a lot.
EDIT: After hearing that Mad Max is an Oscar nomination for best picture I don't have a lot of hope for any movie these days. Most are all whale dung. How bad can this be?

As for the worst movie you have ever seen, i doubt it. I am sure you have seen Prometheus, and cloverfield compared to that pile of rubbish was a golden globe winner.

Cloverfield was absolutely without a doubt the worst movie I have ever seen. I think it is one of my favorite monster movies of all time. I love that movie!

I liked Cloverfield. Maybe I'm weird.

I liked it too, in the same way i enjoy the old Godzilla movies.

I cant say I really enjoyed Cloverfield. Not the worst movie I saw, but it got tedious after the half way point.
My favorite movie monster by far, was "Gamera". Nothing beats the pure awesomeness of a giant turtle with rocket engines!

I was sucked into the whole 'found footage' aspect of the movie and thought that added a layer of intensity in Cloverfield. The monster was well done. But as I mentioned, subsequent viewings became tedious. Right about the time they went underground and the tic like bugs became the real threat I lost interest. As tense as the military evacuation and segregation of infected people should have been I wasn't drawn in. The rest was pretty good for what amounts to a monster movie.
There are unanswered questions that I' d hoped would be answered. In the final scene of the found footage there is a shot of the two main characters on an amusement ride at Cooney Isalnd. This was shot prior to the whole going away party/monster thing. The camera pans to the ocean and if you pay attention you see something fall into the sea. What was it? Does it have anything to do with the Cloverfield monster? Supposedly the Cloverfield monster is a juvenile. Where's the mother?
I'm interested enough to want to see how these questions are handled. I don't expect anything great but it's not going to be a terrible movie. The expectations aren't that high for me so I doubt I'll be disappointed. (Superman vs Batman has a higher chance of disappointing me than Cloverfield Street) Again... I'll probably end up renting it instead of seeing it on the main screen.

If Cloverfield was the worst movie you've ever even you are doing a lot better than me. Yup, same here. I was drafted to watch "Pitch Perfect 2" last year. That was easily 10x worse than Cloverfield.

Makes a lot of sense. But will need to verify further how true...
