Humble Weekly Bundle is selling all the tom clancy games. For 10 bucks you get most of the old catelogue plus a The Division beta key.

Anyone following this game? It looks interesting. Everyone I talked to in the alpha said it was very fun. Anyone played the alpha? Anyone going to try the beta jan29ish?

Mind you, all of those require Uplay to run.
Not that there's anything inherently bad with it- just saying.

Yes, I should have stated that ahead of time. I bought it thinking i'd get steam keys... nope just uplay keys.

Well, in the end I like Uplay better than Origin- regardless, they all -more or less- offer good stuff, cheap (provided one can wait) and quite a constant service.

IF, your ISP is any decent...

If more pick up Chaos Theory, we need to set up a Spies vs Mercs night!

I've got the Division pre-ordered. Ubisoft has been doing a good job of the Clancy games lately, even if it's not done how they were in their golden age.

Vegas 1 & 2 may have 360 controller issues, if you play them that way. I think some have wired controllers working, but not the wireless receiver. I've not found a solution online and nothing from support yet that actually worked.

If they were Steam keys, you'd need to run Steam AND Uplay at the same time to play.

I watched some videos on it. It seems really cool.

But the ridiculous (FPS killing) hollywood effects and the constant "+300XP!!!" popping up every time a bullet hit something was annoying as crap.

Emulating Borderlands may sound like a good idea to a bunch of bean-counting suits, but not for anything that has (mis)appropriated the Clancy name.

Most likely you'll be able to turn off the XP notifications.
They've done a good job getting great graphics but optimizing performance since SC Conviction. That one was tough to run, but the games since then have run as good as they looked. Only time will tell how good they can get it in an open environment with co-op and MP, but at least there will be the beta to check progress.

A lot of people who played the Alpha say it was really good and tactical. The borderlands style is off putting but then again I enjoyed borderlands for what it was. If they want to try to make a serious game using BL style combat that might be good as well.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is "Borderlands Style Play"?

Can anyone point me to this deal or is it already over? When I follow the link, it's nothing to do with the afore mentioned deal. I did a search for Clancy but didn't see any offers that resembled those mentioned?? Any help would be appreciated!

IMO this game will fill a nice place in the gaming industry as there are not too many "Tactical RPG/MMO" games out. Here is a mission from the recent event.

Looks like in the future bad guys wont be able to shoot straight, that's a bit of luck.

Graphics and environments look good, not sure about only 3rd person view, there is also a lot of HUD action going on which I'm not keen on.

I was also disappointed to see someone else vid showing the differences in the latest build to the one they showed last year, with a lot of features have now been removed. ( reflections, object damage, etc ).

The graphics still look good, just not as great as they had previously. This however seems to be common in the industry, but still, its disappointing.

I've been following this game for several months. It has most of the the elements that I enjoy in a game. MP coop, interesting environment, great visuals, etc. Time will tell if the concept works out. I'm not interested in the beta and I'll wait until I read a few reviews before buying it.

The more I see of this game the less I care about it. The spamming of power-ups, earned levels, unlocks, and the floating HUDs all over the place really ruin it for me. Couple that with way over the top effects, AI that take 10 head shots to kill and health towers, power-ups and the rest of the gamey crap makes me take a pass on this one. Escape from Tarkov looks good so far, only time will really tell though.

JG26 vonVampr, you just wrote exactly what I was thinking. When I first saw this game it really looked and sounded pretty decent, but now, lol, it looks like some joke from the PS3 era suitable for age 15 and under.

I watched a recent game play video for this today on You Tube. It's not my cup of tea. It looks like a Borderlands RPG.
