Don't bother with the 3D. It's really muted and doesn't add to the visual experience. This is not Avatar.

I found the musical direction interesting, too. I couldn't help but think that Guardians of the Galaxy might have influenced the choice of non-score music (70s pop). I'm a huge ABBA fan so I was amazed at how much play-time Waterloo got. It took all my discipline to NOT sing it out loud in the cinema.
It's a running joke throughout the book.

I may go see it for a second time tomorrow!

Alas, looks like it's not in Chinese cinemas. But I keep hoping - sometimes they run a bit behind.
That surprises me since China plays a pivotal role in the film!
That's probably the reason for the lack of Chinese viewing enthusiasm. They hate to think their rocket scientists are going to bed with those American Imperialist pigs
And at one point, Sean Bean told their senior scientist that their methods were outdated....oops

He also told them that one simply does not walk into Mordor.

Hah! Just realized that Sean Bean was in that one scene where they were discussing Project Elrond and he's trying to explain to the Kristen Wiig character what the name means.

It was eventually shown also in China - of course back then I was in the Netherlands for a month where cinemas already stopped showing it
I'll wait for the Bluray.
Yesterday (well, technically this morning) at 0.05 I was finally at "Force Awakens" - 9th of January was the Chinese opening date.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
