Indeed, today is the day our daughter stepped in our lives. She was here by 11:30AM, weighing 2.195Kgs for 50cm. Both her and her mother are doing wonderful. Sorry if I'm a bit short, but words are failing me right away. All I can say is I've never been so proud and so happy in my whole life!

So, without further waiting, let me introduce you Marion!

Congratulations. Good name.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

Congratulations, Corktip! You're at the start of one of the most wonderful, beautiful events known to man. Raising a child is incredibly rewarding, sometimes frustrating, but generally fun (at least so far it has been with my 2.5 years old).

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Hurray!

The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events.

Thank you all for your kind words! Yes indeed, this is our very first one. Everything went really smoothly, both the mom and the little one are doing perfectly fine. Apparently, not only the labor was really quick for a first baby, but Laly got back on her feet at record speed! We're now back at home, so I think it'll take a couple days to adjust, but seems we're off to a great start!

Word of advice, coming from someone who have 5 kids ages 5 to 8 1/2, including 2 sets of twins.

Both your wife and you should try to sleep as much as possible when your daughter sleeps regardless of what time of the day or night it is.
