I'm talking that itching phenomenon that occurs out of the blue. No rashes, no athlete's foot, not nothing, yet that nasty and profound itch strikes the soul of your foot. What is this madness?! No time for that, my kingdom for a red hot poker!

Alas, praise be. In our household we have a brick planter. This has been my go to spot. That rough red brick façade does the trick. blush

Sounds to me like you have it under control. Just be careful not to over rub on that brick.

Sometimes that tendon behind my left knee itches and I have to scratch it until it's red.

Not sure what causes it.

I'm just picturing a guy laying on his back on the front porch with one shoe off vigorously scrubbing a bare foot onto a planter that would be normally waist high while sighing in relief.

Well, that's one way to keep the kids off the damned lawn.

This time of the year with the cold dry weather, skin can get chapped and dry and cracked.

Use

The absolute worst time for it, in my experience, is when sitting in the cramped belly of some armoured beast, wearing full gear and boots, with absolutely no room to move! It just makes you go arghh!! Maybe we should see if we could cram in a brick planter biggrin

I always imagined that similar equipment restrictions would have made it really uncomfortable to be a Stormtrooper (in Star Wars, not one of Ernst Rohm's buddies).

If I am barefooted it doesn't even matter - I can scratch. However, suppose I am in a situation with shoes on and I don't feel comfortable with taking them off . . . I stomp my itchy foot! smile

It got into my foot and itched bad, so I lopped it off at the ankle.
