Yes, that was some really good fun last evening. Thank you for running the mod-free sessions, that made it super easy for me to jump in and pick up where I left off with you, many Military Mondays ago.
Some off-the-cuff observations...
A few of the missions I saw had most of the players lumped into one big fireteam of six or seven players, and I think this made comms a bit chaotic as basically everyone was using Teamspeak instead of in-game VON to coordinate fireteam movement. I was missing that classic layout of two fireteams of four players plus leadership element. There was one really excellent mission where we assaulted three bunkers in sequence; I think we got hosed in the end, but I was playing an automatic rifleman under adlabs' leadership of a smaller fireteam, and we were using in-game group VON actively to set up very good bases of fire to cover for the other fireteam's bounding movement, including quite heavy suppressing fire on a couple of structures near the objective. That was some truly excellent classic gameplay.
Other than that, I think we were massively outnumbered by opposing forces on nearly all of the missions that I saw. One mission had us, only five or six players, attacking fortified positions with manned heavy weapons emplacements - suicide! With that disadvantage, coupled with the ArmA AI's propensity for laser-like accuracy through foliage and other concealment, I can begin to understand the need for the medic/revive scripts
Just my two cents, adjusting for inflation in view that I have not played for two years.
