Tell you what, I burn wood all winter and my chimney has never come anywhere close to having that much soot, and so loose that a leaf blower could suck it out! I have to use a wire chimney brush to get a half a dustpan full max, once a year.

I wonder what he's burning, coal, I suppose. But he must be burning it so poorly to get that much light soot. Yow! If he got his fire anywhere near where it was supposed to be he'd probably have a chimney fire you could see from the moon.

(just stopped over from the WOFF forum , where I usually post)

Um, he's the idiot only if it's his laundry on the line to dry and his newly waxed car downwind; otherwise he's just a jerk.

shedevil

However, there may not be anything of note downwind of his house.

I'm actually surprised vodka and a hand grenade were not used.

Worked well, not as well as shoving a small street child up there though.

Every time we watch that video a little environmentalist dies inside each of us.

Long time ago in a new to us house with a fireplace I learned the hard way about keeping those things clean. I had no idea how or what to use the fireplace so put some wood in there and some paper and lite it up. It lite up for sure and for a second or two sounded like a jet plane taking off. It was a chimney fire and we were lucky because it blew itself out as soon as it started. Cleaned that thing out religiously every year after that.

I'm a life-long Floridian so the term "chimney" does not compute. smile

It would have looked more sensible if he'd aimed
the exhaust downwind...

Why would a leaf blower have a reverse setting?

Wouldn't a few leaves clog it up immediately?

Doesn't sound like a very good function.

just turn a normal leaf blower on its side and seat the intake side on top of the chimney. looks like he took the nozzle tube off so it would be easier to handle

Russians do things weirdly and sometime just without any common sense.

Some of the videos I've seen on the internet of them doing things like unlocking a car where the car keys were locked inside: they break a door window or break the front windshield instead of using a coat hanger or a slim jim.

Or the one where they tried to tow a car where easy and gently does it and they ended up tearing the entire front end of the car completely off the car.

Or using the lift gate of two trucks back to back to lift a car. wacky
