Another thing is the FOV. It works only once. After pressing alt+f3/alt+4, the FOV changes once and that's it. Not sure if it is bug of v1.6.
After hitting F1 to look straight ahead ;
To change FOV from near to wide view (to see whole cockpit) press
9 (not in numeric keypad)
If you are in comanche helicopter ,this will not complete the selection for wide view ... you must then press the backslash key
\ above your enter key. This will bring your view back even further so that you can see your instruments ,both mfd screens ,and also straight ahead out the cockpit window.
Again ,I'm speaking from v 1.15.0 & 1.15.2. I'm not sure if any of these options have been changed in v 1.16.0.
Seems you already found the solution to the mouselook problem. (clicking center wheel button) Use this for Flir also when needed.
F1=foward view F2=Instrument view F3=left mfd screen(close up) F4=right mfd screen(close up)
Pressing & holding Alt-F3 & Alt-F4 zooms back & forth ,but cannot pull back your view to the optimum wide view setting without first following the instructions above.
( 9 then \ (backslash) )

Also trying to figure out how to make it not to padlock automatically when selecting a target.
If you are using a flightstick to select targets ,try using a different button on the stick.
I use a
Saitek flightstick. My left thumb-button changes the selected target. My right button padlocks the current target. Not sure if your target selection automatically padlocking is another bug on this version or not. Just throwing this out there in case it's any help.
Once I padlock a target ,it will stay engaged even when selecting another target until I press F1 to reset my foward view. After that , padlock shouldn't engage when selecting targets until pressing the appropriate button.
