Gentlemen... start your engines biggrin

Dont think of it as being vastly outnumbered ... but just having a large target selection.

Ok, done and done.

What a thrill. Took 5 minutes to set and tune my controls. My graphics settings I never touched (Ultra IIRC), and enjoyed 40-60fps in space and on the ground. Should be good to go.

Simply beautiful work they've done with this. The sense of scale is dizzying. Landed just short of the junction of two huge craters on a moon at my home base. Dropped into the SRV, and realized that the crater rims were still more than 1km away! And the new surface music is wonderful. The ship exteriors are very detailed, and now the paint jobs are easy to see and worth having!

Bravo!

What system are y'all in now? I "BETA" tested Horizons for a couple of days and I'm lookin' forward to some planet side shenanigans!

In the main menu screen (the new blue one) do you gentlemen see 4 choices listed?
Single Player Combat Training or Elite 32-bit or Elite 64-bit or Elite Horizons

Trying to verify that the confusing install process, on my end anyway, went properly.
Thanks!

Yes, I do see 4. I select "Horizons" and then play. Apparently that loads all it needs to play, because it's been as advertised.

just done my first real surface mission .... a search and rescue for some downed pilots ... found them dealt with the sentries ...then scooped them up in the srv, got back to the base and finished the mission ... and found we still have a certain moral dilemma in horizons ... the mission was for 1 escape pod ... I picked up 2 and now have one in the hold and seemingly now way to get rid of it other than jettisoning it ... or selling it to the imperials .... but it now comes up as legal salvage .. which is good you dont get fined for having it in the hold ..

From my SRV session while on TS tonight... Fantastic view! See the SRV wreck and cargo, right ahead of my own SRV. Poor guy!
