Bit of a pity , just stuck this on my dedi that has 1Gb connection , everyone has 9.4% only one peer has more and its only 19% , this aint gonna work without at least one 100% seeder

I'm a bit confused.

I started this Alpha stage from the Beta- it downloaded a bit, like a few megs, copiued files from the Beta, started something bigger (like single GB sized) and it was going kind of good ranging between60 and 100KB/sec.

I stopped it (had to do other things last night) and now that I started it again with the Shortcut "DCS World 2 OpenAlpha" it says around 800 megabytes and it's going slooooooooooooooooooooow- Under 20 KB/sec.

Any suggestion?

Total size so far of the folder \DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\ is just above 15 GB.

That's correct. Once it downloads that 1.2gig file (from memory) then it will unpack that and start downloading the NTTR map which is like 26gig.

So the quickest way would be to let your game finish the 1.2gig install which allows 2.0 to run, albeit with no map. Then switch over to the torrent to get the map. You'll also be updating your modules once 2.0 runs (from inside the game). Make sense?

Gregecslo's torrent for NTTR offers great transfer indeed and I can recommend using it. I'm topping my connection at 6 MB/s at the moment. My uploading capabilities are much more limited, but I'll keep seeding while being at work during next few days.

I was too and found this, last night.

If you've got a torrent from FearlessFrog, it will be missing the last few Mbs and you'll need to continue that through World 2.0
You unzip the zip file (should be called NEVADA_terrain.common) and place that folder into the DCS World 2 OpenAlpha \ _downloads \ .torrents \

Then, follow these instructions:

How To Get NTTR

click on 'bin' - single click, do not open

hold LSHIFT + Right Mouse Click

Select open command window here

type: dcs_updater install NEVADA_terrain

hit enter.
