There are some pretty interesting balance changes coming in the next patch or two, looks like the ROF and DPS for pretty much everything across the board is coming down and there are some decent durability buffs coming to the IS mechs. Specific info is all over the MWO forums, based on the public test server changes.

In the meantime, C-bill payout has increased noticeably... had several rounds today with 200,000+ CB wins with no hero mech and no premium time. Even a good loss is paying 120k plus

Just a heads-up

Yeah my 2 losses last night averaged 100k. Match maker is still porked though. I am tier 4 and in my 2 matches I was top 3 on my team by far. Tier 4 should not have to carry.

And that is top 3 in my 4sp and wang. Disturbing. It is easier to stomach for 100k though.

Hmm, I've actually had some very good rounds over the last two days... even running oddball mechs like Highlanders and Cicadas I would say 75-80 percent of the games were very competitive.

I like the map & gamemode voting phase. Seems to bring a better mix of players out.

I uninstalled a few weeks ago. But lower DPS and 100k losses may be just the thing to make me reconsider...

Lets pick a night and check it out as a group.
I updated it the other day, it was a pretty good size patch. Got 2mil, a cicada and some other goodies. Must be that anniversary bonus from not long ago.

Ran 1 round when I checked to disable the directional arrow. I don't like that vote, I prefer to pick my game type. In BFMC (Xbox) years ago, it was a death sentence. That game had incredible maps, but it just boiled down to 2 maps that people knew best (from the demo) and all of the far better maps got left out of the game never to be played again.
I suspect that vote is a symptom of a decline in the number of players. Not enough to support all of the games. I didn't even see assault as an option.

Played a few rounds with Feetwet and MojoFlow last night... had one round where I cleared 349k in a hero mech without premium time.

Very noticeable c-bill boost

One nice thing about the voting phase is that the maps you choose from vary, so you won't get stuck seeing the same thing over and over. It's less granular now, but I think the matches I have had since the change are 'better'.

The c-bill increase was about 30%, so it's pretty significant.

I ran my King Crab dakka monster the other day, and had good fun.
I also think they finally have the GUI where it should have been from the start, more or less.

Sidenote: AW just also got a major update.

Dropped one round in the ol Blackjack after work. I have never seen 400k+ in a normal game without premium time running ( maybe not even WITH premium time )

Todays patch looks significant, balance-wise.

Yep, hope to have time to try it out tonight. I can agree with about 90% of what PGI is doing here which is far above the 8% standard agreement level we have.
