Might be about time for me to jump into MP, so yes, as long as I doesn't involve air refueiling. biggrin

Oh! I got an idea. A few years ago, me and a couple other SimHQ guys played the campaign online. We got to the point where we cleared a path into NK....

For this to work, we all have to be on the same page though:
1. How serious do you want it to be? Personally, I'm not into the "yes sir, no sir" bit but I'm not into Air Quake either. I'd like it to be semi-serious, with us pretending to be cool fighter pilots but without the sticks up our... y'know.
2. What skillset is required? Ability to drop bombs in CCRP and CCIP, basic A-A switchology employment, and I think we're good. A-A refuelling is just icing on the cake.
3. What do you want to do? Do we do a campaign? Or just a TE?

I'm willing to help out new players and give this a try.

However, due to RL issues, I've not totally delved into 4.33 yet so might be lost with the new stuff.

Good thoughts Ice. For me personally, i need more training. So a few TE's geared towards taking out runways and such would be good to start. Basically get some of the core stuff out of the way. From there bring on the campaign. I would take it serious, but not to the point of turning it into a job, if you know what i mean.

That's the thing. If people want more training, we could just do a few TEs to practice. Practicing with a buddy makes it more fun and more educational... YOU might not see the mistakes you're making but your buddy might.

I'm in. I can even setup a Virtual Server to host the game and voice comms. I, personally, would like to use IVC if we go that route - a bit more realistic in my opinion.

That would be cool Rev, I think the idea to keep it fun so semi serious will be best, and some of the more experienced guys will be better suited to lead the flights, i think a weekend slot would be best for everyone of all time zones to meet up.

I am EST and prefer IVC as well.

Yep, semi serious is good. Relaxed learning environment.

Perhaps meet on the SimHQ TeamSpeak initially?

Hi, just tried out 4.33 and it's pretty impressive so far. I'd like to get back into Falcon Mutiplayer- Flew once with ICE and friends a couple of years ago, it was great fun! We used TeamSpeak, I haven't tried IVC but would like to learn if you go that way.

Unless you guys want to bomb U.S. runways and ground forces, it is better that i don't lead a flight. Lol

popcorn

I would think that Korea Strong would be good for coop, its in stock install etc

Server must be in 3D , and BW for clients should be about 1024bytes in 4.33 now. So say 10players is 10240 for server.

Well that is a negative on my VMWare box hosting a dedicated server. I could have sworn there was a way to disable 3D in the config editor.

I can still host on my machine, and have the server running IVC Server.
