It's not fighting in the air conflict, but looks interesting...

Not suprisingly, when I put this up on the BoS site it was removed with no explanation...

I had thought, regardless of politics, anyone with an interest in the eastern front would like to see it.

Probable because the "propaganda" behind the real history, twisted to sound more heroic in Newspapers. wink
See the note about Kuzhebergenov's.

Well, like most normal human beings with more than 3 brain cells, I don't take any politics or propaganda into consideration when I look at a war film.
I'm usually well aware of the historical background, and simply take a film on it's entertainment value.

If the people in control over on the other site can't or won't see past the politics, then that's sad.
Hopefully, the headshed and perusers of this site are little more grown up about getting a heads up on what may be a decent film.

But, as usual over on the obvious other site, there was no explanation as to why it was removed... it was just gone when I checked this morning...

Threads disappearing without explanation on that site, is not all that an unusual thing...

Some decent Russian war movies recently..well for action anyway. However is all of them the Germans look inept sadistic but generally useless and the Russian are all supermen..still fighting whilst burning to death etc etc.

I watched a decent polish war film the other day called Miasta '44. Some superb action in it.

Here's your answer:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panfilov's_Twenty-Eight_Guardsmen

Popular Culture

Panfilov's 28 Men (ru) is a movie about Panfilov's 28 men, produced by Libyan Palette Studios together with War Thunder (a World War II-inspired massively multiplayer online combat game developed by Gaijin Entertainment). The movie (currently in production) is funded by crowdfunding.[22]

Just because the gaijin team are helping to produce a movie, how does that impact on the BoS flight sim?
Its not comparing the sim to the film, and it doesn't put the BoS team in a bad light...

I was highlighting a film about the ground war on the eastern front that's all...

The real reason is that the discussion after the initial post turned into a "good/ad Stalinist vs good/bad Nazi" kind of discussion.
So one moderator hided the discussion. 1CGS has nothing to do with this action.

Good to know thanks.... the thread could easily have been locked, bad post removed, and the link left active so that people could actually see the film preview... but, oh well

Before people complain about propaganda they need to learn history and have common sense. While Germans were not pure evil as presented, that's how people saw them and that's how you will read about it from veterans accounts of war.
