Anyone else listen to this podcast? I've been digging it since I started listening to the "Wrath of the Kahns" 5 part series on the Mongols. Very well produced, and he is very engaging in his delivery.
I found it through the iOS podcast app, but here's a link.

I've enjoyed it so much I'll probably plunk down the cash for the archived collection he sells on his website.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck.”

Love it.

Just posted in another thread about this and was going to start a thread. Figured many here would be interested.

I am currently listening to the 'Blueprint for Armageddon' series about the first World War.

I will probably pick up the archive as well.

The 'Khans' series was awesome.

I think both the Khans, and Blueprint are currently free to download.

I listened to "Prophets of Doom" and am currently listening to "American Peril." Blueprint is the next one I'm going to listen too. I thought the American one would be a good
precursor to "Blueprint" because it might set the table for American/European conditions/mindsets/etc pre-WWI in the Spanish/American war.

Yeah this has been one of my favorite history podcasts for a couple of years, he's great at putting modern perspective on it.

I love it.
I got hooked on Blueprint for Armageddon, it was sobering to say the least.

I've listened to Khans and Blueprint and with both I felt as carried away in time and place as I've ever felt reading a great book. My one hour drive to the airport flies by.

Find the Ghosts of the Ostfront. Its a great one he did on the eastern front during WWII.
