They are running their 3 year anniversary live stream and they have a few sales and reveals.

First up the starter package for 30 bucks (instead of 45 so 33% off?)
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/Packages/Star-Citizen-Starter

Its a good price and that is ALL you have to spend. They are selling 1000 each day for 3 days (I think) So if they run out check back tomorrow.

They also are selling a new ship the crucible. (350)

p72 Archimedes (30)

This would be a good ship to use to upgrade to a different ship in order to keep LTI

and they also have a few other things. check out their official post here

2.0 patch is hitting a limited PTU today (to 1000 backers who have actively reported bugs etc.)

This means probably 2.0 within a week! This is huge!

I look forward to the 2.0 patch, although I don't really want it as long as it crashes every 10 min - but once it's ironed out, this could be the beginning of finally having fun with SC - I remember when E:D released their first beta with a limited galaxy to fly in: it kept me busy for a long while. These days I'll barely have 1 or 2h per week to play SC alpha 2.0, so it could keep me entertained for months. If only it had VR support though... it's hard to be wowed by a space game on monitor once you've played ED with the Oculus Rift... And VR support won't be coming anytime soon given the choice of having head bobbing and animations taking control of the camera.

They still have 2k+ of the 30 dollar (30% off) packages. Comes with the sq42 single player campaign. (its still basically a preorder though)

Thanks for the heads-up. Just grabbed two starter ship packages for my friends, as early Christmas presents... ( just a cunning plan to have them man my Constellation. LOL )

They're going fast though only... blimey, just checked, none left!

I took advantage of the offerings and did a little consolidating of my ships... actually ended up with some store credit left over too.

I'm hoping that the Starfarer makes another max crew size change back the other way. I liked it when it was 2...now at 7, I'm concerned how I'm going to man it if the NPCs/AI aren't up to par.
