Hey, I have been considering a project for a while (and am still planning) so I thought i would post and see if anyone here has attempted anything similar. My thought is to build a floor-mounted flight stick for use with this game or others. The electronic side won't be very hard i think (i have done that kind of project) but the mechanical side is tricker. the best instructions i found were to build something like this (uses hall effect sensors):



Anyways, my question is just: has anyone else done something like this? Any ideas or suggestions? I'm still in the planning phase here.

Sub-floor mechanism??? Are you seriously going to cut a hole into your floor?

If he does then wouldn't that make him the barmiest of the barmy.

Lol, no I'd build a flight seat (plywood and 2x4ss and some foam padding) with a hole in the floor of the footrest area. Still pretty barmy...

Can I assume the Major has approved this project and that it is not an infringement on her living space!!

Well as I am still a young'n and unmarried, I just need to finish it before that changes! something something fait accompli.
