Always depressing to realize that you already own everything on sale! However, good a reason as any to fly it again, been a few weeks...

I already own every plane in the store. Albatros C.III, Hansa-Brandenburg C.I, Oeffag D.III, Farman F40/Caudron G4 and B.E.2c would all be day one pre-orders from me. As would an Italian front map . I know... I'm sure that this game will get only a meagre touch of devotion and care, now that they are fully committed to Bo$. The only carrot they throw out now and then is yet another sale... Remember when RoF was in its heyday and they hit us with ''don't worry, RoF will continue to benefit from improved tech from BoS etc, etc, etc?'' ...Which is funny, because I am more likely to shell out cash for RoF than BoS. A $15.00 pre-order is far easier to get wifely approval for than a $90 expansion . Cheers and hoping for more RoF content, Fafnir_6

I wish there were more early war planes to fill out the early years of the career. The Jedi Master

I would love to buy a bunch of planes, I love the basic RoF idea, I just wish they would add to the basic game so I felt confident I would play it after I bought all that stuff...
The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...

Word........... He!!, I even bought all the "options" for ALL the planes and I don't think I've ever even tried a single one. That is a BUNCH of money and I get the feeling the road is ending. After all these years I still "fight" the same few available enemy aircraft in the same uninspiring missions. Considering the number of available aircraft IN the sim and the very few that find themselves being made available as opponent aircraft pretty much sucks. I did have a real surprise the other day-Cpt. Roy Brown made the mistake of getting in the way of my DXII. And that's about it....

^^this. Even with the PWCG, it gets repetitive after a while, and the included career still doesn't feel anywhere near finished.

The problem is... there are many people like myself who have everything... what on earth are we supposed to be looking forward too? absolute jack! nothing... He!!, I even bought all the "options" for ALL the planes and I don't think I've ever even tried a single one.

^^this. Even with the PWCG, it gets repetitive after a while, and the included career still doesn't feel anywhere near finished. It makes me a bit sad to see all these quotes in the sales thread.. RoF had and has, as usual in the WW1 so many absolutly loyal and high-hopes fans with single indiviuals showing insane amounts of money into the game.. only to be blocked by borderline-buisness strategies which did never full understood the "special" potential or how to productivly deal with a fanbase that is difficult because it is enthusiastic.. I´d really wish it could go the way of BMS or WoFF, but I really doubt it is going to happen..

What everyone already said, despite the many who were initially against it, RoF has an established business model but you (777)seem to have kinda... I don`t know, said "ow well nevermind" just as you (recently enough) got through with it and made it the norm? Most of us here have bought every crate, myself only lacking the Felixstowe and mods for a few more buses. Most of us by now dont mind buying more planes (as I mentioned about the established business model), we all have a plethora of suggestions like Siemens Schuckert D.3, BE2c, Fokker E.I (Prototype "E3" given to Oswald, Immelman etc) Fokker E.II, Fokker E.IV (2-3 gun E.III with double row Oberursel UR.III, Immelman died flying one), different types of Aviatiks, Rumplers, Vickers Vimy, the bunch of Italian planes, relegate current Alb D.III to OAW and make the real D.III, Fokker F.1 (DR.1 prototype with rounded ailerons which Kurt Wolff and Werner Voss both died flying), late Fokker DR.1, Fokker D.VII OAW, night sights for Lewis guns on bombers, Zeppelin`s etc. Also the ability to engage synchronizer gear manually (where it applies), bullet damage to the cockpit, bring back individual MG reload, turn illuminated sights on/off, the list just goes on and on. Not to mention the career mode could use a few changes like more planes loaded in a mission, as we all know, during offensives it was not unusual to see well over 200 planes filling 5-6 map grids, computers can nearly handle that now (implement a slider for max planes in the air in one mission?), and on that note let you command and move HQ`s of whole JG`s or fighter wings, i.e a bit more logistics, rather than sitting at the same place with the same single Jasta/Squadron day after day. Then theres the damage model (every bullet hole showing up) that was made but never implemented due to computers not having a chance of rendering all of that, with todays computers maybe now is a good time to go forth with that? I had yet another friend by the nick of VonHjalmar go RoF (and he never played a sim in his life), he bought it hook, line and sinker, now thanks to a few good nights in-game (on one occasion we were in a Halberstadt CL.II and bombed a streamer just as he was stationary close to one of our dromes and blasting everything) he wants to get TrackIR5, CH quadrant, pedals etc, meanwhile the game is... I`m not saying the game is dead, there are still people online (some times nearly 40 people in one server), and I`m not saying devs are going back on their word (though it would certainly appear so) but from what everyone has already commented, development interest has just gone to the utter and complete abyss.. I don`t mean to come about as a heartless sod with all of this, I`m not saying to refund and let us keep everything etc, hopefully the money and time I`ve invested + friends recruited and minimal moaning the past bunch of years shows otherwise. I`m just saying that RoF, still not antiquated, could (and certainly has the capability to) reach higher yet.
