3. video:

I highly doubt that sector control during the Battle of Britain time
- has exact realtime altitude access of the enemy planes ("8490ft.")
- has exact realtime bearing infos for an enemy plane.
- has exact realtime speed infos for an enemy plane.
- has any infos from enemy planes operating near Dieppe (french territory) AND flying lower than 15000ft at all.
- has any infos about planes flying below 500ft altitude at all.

Its a first step and better than nothing but in its current state a cheat tool. Guys, its summer 1940 in the simulation and not 2015.

In 1940 ground observers could give an altitude report. It was not as accurate at +/- ten feet but it did exist. They used fairly basic devices.

What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen

Well, are this "RADAR" option, but too complicate to use, even with the modern version of the "Fruit Machine". smile

I have seen a CH radar emulation with a time delay of 4 minutes between transmission and location reception. Whether it was 4 sec, 40 sec, 4 minutes or 40 minutes is debatable but one is certain: there was a delay.

And here is the math:
A 109E4 flies at cruise speed@sealevel in ...
4 sec: 0.5 km
40 sec: 5.1 km
4 minutes: 30.4 km
40 minutes: 303.4km

This gives an insight how "accurate" the CH radar was.

There is, I believe, a three minute delay in the ACG radar.

In the video (at 7:42minute) interesting to see the Planning Staff of Luftwaffe provides the pilots with untrue information, namely "stay under 500 m to avoid detection by the enemy radar" (briefing). Correctly it should be "stay under 500 ft ... ".
This gives the video a nice realistic touch because the staff is always misinformed and gives crazy orders no matter where you are in the world.

Greetings, new player here. I've gotten a few sorties under my belt on the ATAG "Axis vs Allies" server. Mainly trying to stay out of the way of the experienced pilots. How does this RAF Control work? Is it only on certain servers? Is this a part of the game someone can install and be a ground controller? That in itself look quite fun. Is it a separate "mod" from the original release? Many questions but I've very intrigued. Thanks in advance!

The above controller is exclusivity of ACG server, what run a kind of online campaign in weekends.

In ATAG server you can use the in game "Control" - typing this controls:

TAB > 7 > 4 = select a dispatch (Radar station) and ask for contacts.

Previously are used TAB > 7 > 1 - "Inform nearest contact", but this was more a AWACS than a Radar, very harmful for bombers. smile
