Re read the post of yours I quoted. if you remember 1.5 was supposed to be released in September not in October and not as an open beta. So yes yet again ED missed their mark. Where on earth did you read that 1.5 full release (not open beta) would be in september? Most dates given are "best case scenario approximations" as Wags put it. It was fairly obvious that the version expected in september would be beta and would include some bugfixing in the process. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135473I don't visit the ED forums but it didn't take me long to find that thread. I see no mention of open beta in the opening post. I see nothing about "best case scenario approximations". All I see is the catch all EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE that wags uses to make it up as he goes along.
DCS Kickstarter Wags July 2014 "In this July 2014 update, the primary news is in regards to the restructured backer rewards. After a careful review of the older system under RRG, we found it financially unattainable." Wags October 2017 "the investment vs. generated revenue has been excellent for the World War II aircraft. In fact, the P-51D Mustang has twice the cost effectiveness of the A-10C Warthog."

that wags uses to make it up as he goes along Yah, meaning no promises given. But why does that make you so bitter, I wonder?

Um, sorry, but no, I won't. Got better things to do with my time, actually. No need to apologize cup cake, no skin of my nose how long you wonder about me.

Like most planes in DCS, it can't. It will require careful mission construction to ensure it's not a slaughter or a walk in the park every time you take off.
I got real tired of Hawks every 20 ft keeping my altitude under 30 ft in multiple Black Shark missions by mission designers looking to make "a challenge".
This is especially tricky when the air units are from wildly varying eras while the ground units all are pretty much 90s designs.
In most sims, the plane set is chosen with a given era in mind and the rest is built around that. DCS World is a free-for-all, with WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Cold War, and post Cold War designs all sharing the same airspace with 90s maritime and ground units rolling around. Any discussion of survivability is almost pointless when someone can place a bunch of SA-11s up where an F-86 is supposed to be flying.

Exactly. They wouldn't! Yet some mission designers treat every plane as if it should be. Missions need to be designed around what the real plane would be actually asked to (and not just in some doomsday "fly this or the entire nation will be destroyed") with realistic parameters. There's more to a sim than the realism of the modeling, it's also the realism of the scenarios. The Jedi Master

Pretty sure the Mirage EFM entered Beta today. From their Facebook page: Folks, today we have passed a milestone. Today we have declared the EFM in Beta status. Due to that, from now on the aircraft will use the EFM exclusively in all our tests/development sessions.

Sounds like a PR trick. Just to alleviate concerns of people complaining about it. This is no confirmation if that thing will have EFM on release. It could be half a year after release. Sounds like the CC101 and Hawk: "We are trying to get it done soon but it's so hard!" If it would ship on release with EFM for sure, dont you think they would declare that in a clear announcement? All I see is some carefully constructed weasel words that imply "it's almost there", but is not being clear on wether IT SHIPS ON RELEASE WITH EFM

Which part of "Due to that, from now on the aircraft will use the EFM exclusively in all our tests/development sessions" is so awfully weasely?
It delares intent quite clearly. When all that's on your head is weasel words, that's the only thing you'll see everywhere.
