It seems my radar is not working. It cannot detect any air target at any distance, it looks like is blind. I'm sure is a error from my part, but haven't that issue in 4.32, and don't know the part of the manual I can read to solve it.

Any idea?

Hard to say with little information. Nothing much changed in the new version to have this effect. Please describe how the radar is configured, target type and relative position, what is seen on the display.

I'm not a Falcon expert, so heres what I think I do. I select first A-A weapon, in this case the AMRAAM, the A-A radar appears on the left MFD with the brackets, but not a single contact appear on the screen, no matter If I have a Il-28 at 10 miles or a F-16 at 20. Nothing, nothing appears, the radar appears contactless.

Well, you might have it set up so that the MFD will show the radar screen when you go to A-A mode but that is useless if you've not switched the radar on.

Did you switch radar from QUIET to NORMAL?

Check the switch on the left front, above the laser arm switch.

If the radar is actually working, check that radar antenna elevation is corresponding to target's altitude.

The vertical and lateral blue "T" symbols should move around as the antenna sweeps and changes bars.

My radar is on RF NORM, and it should work, but it doesn't. No idea of what I'm doing wrong.

Did you check antenna elevation?

Check the radar cursor. Next to it in the radar display it shows what altitude band you're scanning at the selected range.

Also you could check the position of the FCR switch on sensor panel (right side below the clock).

Does it happen when you start a flight from taxi, take off or mid flight? You can only mess up when starting on the ramp. Otherwise the jet should be configured correctly.

As mentioned by other be sure to check the antenna position marks at the edge of the scope (left for elevation and bottom for azimuth). Do they appear, are they moving? In what mode is your radar in? RWS, LRS, TWS, ACM etc...?

Check the orange highlights on the picture below



in this example of the radar scope the radar cursor at its current position (range), considering the bar setting, will cover altitudes between 6 and 12 thousand feet. What is your showing?

Never had to deal with all this in the old 4.32, unless I'm doing something terribly wrong and probably really stupid as well.

Like said above, set your radar elevation to appropriate value.

The image you've just posted shows that you are scanning between -92000ft and -68000ft(under the ground) of the radar cursor.
you see the red text right next to your radar cursor, it has to be like 01-24(above the ground) instead.

Yep, nadal is right, be sure to check if you have some unwanted axis mapped to your radar elevation in options if you have trouble with setting it to your liking. In older times it was set with F5, F6, F7 keys on the keyboard. Now you have to check your controls settings as the default key layout changed significantly.

Tried to make the antenna tilt up but no luck yet.

If you set it to be controlled by axis (axis setting other than 'keyboard') then the digital (keyboard/button) functions will not work.

AAAAND that solves the problem!! Thanks a lot guys! Now is time to learn some more tricks in order to improve my fligh, like relearn how to properly deploy LGB in 4.33...
