Vienna, 2nd rock left.
It does look a tad repetitive, which may well be a problem with the source material... deserts look like deserts.

I think its a good game. Uses the same brawling mechanics you find in Arkham and Middle Earth but a little slower which I like. It is a beautiful game. Gameplay is similar to those games in that your goals are to free areas of enemy influence by way of various tasks not dissimilar to Red Faction Guerilla or Middle Earth. Can be repetitive but so are most games. Its just another world and post apocalypse one that's fund to escape to.

I have an extra Steam copy I'd like to sell cheap or trade for if anyone is interested.

If Warbirds pass the deal, I'd be happy to check it out with you, Coot!

Ooh didn't know anything about a black screen. I've never had problems so far. Glad its running though. I find that for the most part the steam forums for a game usually has decent fans with answers and help with quirky game issues come up.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game, it got a bit buried under all the MGSV hype and excitement when it came out so it didn't get much attention. It's not the best game you ever played but it is very enjoyable. No real story to speak of but the gameplay is fun and it's really got that atmosphere from the new movie right. And maybe you just have to play it to get it, maybe it's simply not for everyone, and I know a desert is a desert is a desert but... the environments are mostly spectacular IMO, some of the best even.

I'm loving this game Coot!
Figure I'll piggyback your thread here as I go through it. Really glad to see the Shadow of Mordor screenshot tool back.

Nice shots. cheers

I agree. This game has one of the best desert environments that I've ever seen in a game. It looks and "feels" right and I don't find that it gets boring. Other games/sims have deserts that look like a dry saltine cracker, like its plastic or that the game is just glued to it.

I just now watched the bluray movie Mad Max and what a rush that was. They cut up some cool cars for that film like the two 59 Caddies that were welded together, one on top of the other.

Yes, but upgrading the car is the main focus. It's very much like Shadow or Far Cry.

I also forgot to mention that also with the desert, it really does feel sandy. Watch the sand shift as your character walks. Certain areas have like dried up shale or somesuch that just crunches when you walk on it. Reminds me of a dirty beach, with dried up seaweed and shredded shell, it just crunches underfoot. There's also dead coral in areas that just shatters. Great detail that makes it feel organic and alive in its own dead sort of way.
