Perfect timing with the release of 4.33!

TacView 1.4 is out and to celebrate it, the Professional Edition is being offered for a big discount which also applies to the volume pricing of the product. With 2-4 people buying it, the PE is the same price as the Home Edition and with 10+ people, it'll be down to a very attractive £8.68.

I have been planning to buy TacView for some time now and with the discount, it'll be too good to miss. The sale is running until Nov. 8th.

For those that have played with TacView, you all know how useful this program can be. For those that have not played with TacView, you have no idea how much learning you are missing! Go to TacView Download and get the Free version to try out! Check out THIS PAGE to see the differences between the Free, Home, and Professional versions.

So, is there any interest in a Group Buy? If so, please speak up and I'll add your name to the list. I think I will keep this open until Saturday, November 7th then I will order.

Thanks!

**Good news! If we can hit 20+ people, Frantz/Vyrtuoz is willing to give a further discount so instead of £8.59 per copy of the PE, it'll just be £6.85 instead which is the cost of the Home Edition at 10+ people!**

I didn't know about TacView 'til I saw a certain someone's Oculus Rift video review of DCS 1.5, and then I was instantly sold on the 3D overview he had up.

Count me in for this!

Great idea Ice. I'll take some of that action.
Lets hope we can get up to 20.

From the hills rebounding
Let this war cry sounding
Summon all at Cambria's call
The mighty force surrounding

Men of Harlech onto glory
This shall ever be your story
Keep these fighting words before ye
Welshmen never yield

Like I said on the DCS thread, I'm only coordinating the efforts! biggrin

It's the other 19 people who I have to thank for helping me get a good deal on a VERY good program! mycomputer

Names added on the list and indeed, we have now surpassed the 20+ buyers required. Also note that if you want to buy more than one license, that is allowed as well.

I've used the free version in the past, for both DCS World, FSX and Falcon. I'm definitely in, if you can fit me in!

If I play mostly off line is there any benefit to owning the pro version?

A summary:

http://tacview.strasoftware.com/features/comparison/en/

You can click the various features to see if you think they make a difference for you.

Over the Home version you get the strategic view, which is really nice. Otherwise it's about as good as the Home version for you.

Over the Free version it has better telemetry, which makes a difference once you're used to it.

But with the price being about the same as the Home version, I'd say there is no real reason to buy the Home version instead.
