...or was I only so ravenous after my long absence from WOFF?
I just had a patrol with Jasta 2 in September 1916, and I found the ground detail absolutely stunning!
Checked if I had changed my settings, but no - "Terrain" is still on 3, and "Scenery" is still on 4.

They said the enhanced the terrain. I don't what that means because they didn't give a detailed breakdown of the enhancements.

Well, fly over it - it seemed definitely enhanced to me!
There seemed to be an overall "crispness" and clarity - hard to describe - just fly in a halfways nice weather and look yourself.

Hi Olham and other Pilots and Devs,

I don't understand when you say the terrain and the scenery settings are at a certain level.

I thought if I, for example are using the DX9 shaders then the default shaders do not matter anymore.

What am I missing.

I have also noticed this with other posts when folks are running WOFF ver 2-2.12 or 2.13.

Don't most folks use the DX9 settings and the older default settings no longer matter?

Scratching my head on this one.

The DX9 settings are shader settings.

The settings left of that are the quality/density settings. They still matter.
It looks best to have them all on "5", but if your rig cannot handle that,
it is best to only reduce "terrain quality" (3 is still looking fine) and
"Scenery" (I recommend to "4").

Salute and smooth landings to you Olham!!

I was totally in the dark on this issue.

I was under the idea that those settings didn't matter anymore when selecting DX9

Have the cloud shadows been changed?
I noticed much improved contrasts.

This was over snow-covered terrain though
(early March 1916), so I could be mistaken.
