So let me get this straight. This squadron consists of: Snoopy X movie star A flying Kiwi A Mullett Near sighted chap from middlesex A wasp A Monkey A time traveling monkey A dope smoking musician A Camo Ape A penguin Black blues player Hollywood cowboy A flame painted hot rod A toy train 2 regular RAF Chaps And one old jug blowin old man
This should be very interesting!
This cracked me up laughing. I only wish we could see them all in the air together. Or at least on the flight line when Trenchard comes to visit.

Yes, but in short order real flames will probably be covering up the painted ones...

So for prizes, Lou has generously offered up a custom paint job for the ride of your choice! (I recommend Zeppelin!) and I will throw in this engraved tankard, which seems pretty cool... Of course, it will actually say something about the challenge and I will have to look into overseas shipping if our European contingent wins, but there it is!

Doing some QC, and the Sop. Pup comes appart all to easy. About the 10th go at Alb DV with Vets pilots I could stay alive with two after me ,but would break my bird 1 of 10 flights.
Now after 20+ QC no "comming apart", but it is "hard duty" with a flimsy kite with only one gun.
There for the term "CHALLENGE" !
We got to our AZ Digs this afternoon--- at 97 degrees and humid.
Can not wait for the 17th to start this challenge!

It's tougher than the Nupe, it helps to blip a good bit in turns and dives, but it will definitely shed a wing. We will be up against a lot of Albatros V Strutters which should have the same problem, but the AI seems to get a bit of a pass on that so be careful about following them into a dive!

...and it should give us an overwhelming shock effect! Imagine the reports from the Hun pilots after a fight: Pilot 1: "Herr Hauptmann, I was attacked by a Kiwi!"
Hauptmann: "A what...?"
Pilot 1: "A Kiwi, Herr Hauptmann! That is a..."
Hauptmann: "I KNOW what a Kiwi is, Herr Leutnant - a fruit from overseas - but...!"
Pilot 2: "My opponent was - I hardly dare to say it - a penguin, Herr Hauptmann!"
Pilot 3: "I was fighting a beagle! A cute-looking one, by the way..."
Pilot 4: "Hmmm... - compared to all your opponents, mine was almost a normal flyer - he was a monkey..."
Hauptmann: "What's all this...! Are you guys seriously telling me, that the Royal Flying Corps is a madhouse?!?"
Pilot 1: "Nein, Herr Hauptmann - but this one Staffel - No. 46 - definitely is."

Rick, is this all that's left of Steinhoff and his beer tent? Great idea. Every pilot should have one of these!

Can not wait for the 17th to start this challenge! I'm still learning how to cope with the Pup, too, but what I discovered so far, is, that it seems to be the agile Version of the Strutter B1. Speed is your Enemy. Blip all the Time. The slower you are, the better. Fly permanent Circles and change Direction often. Don't dive. Clean the Sky Top to Bottom. Don't pursue - you gain Speed by that and you won't get them, anyway. Get 'em in the Curves, while they are still fighting... when they decide, that the Fight is over, it's over.
