Worked for me as well.
Snoopy, go to the DCS Website and log in. Then go to e-shop / Modules and click on the Nevada Test & Training Range Map. Right above the system requirements there's a yellow bar that says something like "Get your serial numbers here". Click it and the serial will be revealed.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

"imminent publication" could mean anything up to and including several years
