I have the WOFF expansion, although I do not have any of the extra aircraft skin packs
that are available for purchase.

My question is, are there any other skins that come with the base game that I can change
to and / or where is the option to do so in the game??? Is it in the menu options...?

I am technically still not an ace in my current career so I think it is a little premature
for me to go and start decorating my aircraft elaborately, although I have seen so many
great skins in some of the image postings on this forum and was just wondering if they were
from the purchased packs or user made skins...

Cheers...

cheers

Nonsense! If you're flying Sausage-Side, you can adopt any skin you like. Some units had rules, like Jasta 5. Your plane had to have a forest green tail with red trim. Other than that, you're on your own. When von Richtofen first painted his Albatros solid red, he told the rest of Jasta 11 they could do as they pleased as long as he had the only solid red plane. So it's a many of taste, not a rite of passage.

I'm a OC pilot, first and always. But I decided on a bright yellow Dr.! because nobody else had one, and it seemed to me that it was the most glaring, most challenging color going.

So...do as you will. You can do no wrong.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

Haha, gotta love the Mellow Yellow... Very nice Hauksbee! thumbsup

Did these skins come standard, or are they made by you or with one of the
purchasable skin packs....?

Cheers.

Both done by me.

Painting up your own kite is one of the many great things to do in this sim. Go for it SSPEIPER.

You have some extra skins, but the vast majority of the skins are in the Skins Addon Pack. You can tell how many skins you have by browsing to \OBDSoftware\WOFF\OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\skins

If you have around 1500 skins then you have not got the skins pack which will take it over 6000.
Add-ons also add some skins for the craft in them.

See bottom of http://www.overflandersfields.com/BuyNow.html for skins pack.

You can choose a new skin from the ones you have for your aircraft, go to loadout option when in mission briefing in Campaign.

or in QC you can select a skin if there are some available from the pull down under your craft in QC.

And the Skins Add-on Pack is worth every penny. A 'must have' for WOFF, IMHO.

Speaking of Skins...
Who is this Zicomar-Nieuport-Guy? I see him almost every Flight (in J-Mode), meanwhile...

I believe it is French ace Paul Tarascon, and it's "Zigomar".

Ditto to this! This BIG cornucopia of 6000 historical skins can not be found in any other sim.
And even if you fly mostly British side (who were not allowed much of an individual paintjob),
it must be great to encounter all the German aces and flyers with their personal colours.
You can later research who you fought, or which pilot you shot down.

A great freeware proggy for browsing through all the skins is IRFANVIEW -
for the correct directory see Polovski's post.

Thx, Lou
...well, Tarascon's Typing-Skills left room for improvement biggrin - looks cool, nevertheless. A bit Daredevil-Chaos-All-Eyes-On-Me-ish...
Easily identifiable, also. This is someone, I can perfectly hide behind with my current StrutterB1 duck

Hiding is a totally acceptable practice in aerial combat. Tricky though to hide a Strutter behind a Nieup, but hey, if you can make it work more power to you Nietzsche.

No, with "hinding" I simply meant: If I'm followed by EA while he is in the Area, he can take care for them while I'm drinking Coffee reading
