Well I guess I am a salty veteran now. Made the trip to Nuenets (114 LY in 16 jumps) refueling at almost every stop - easy with a high quality scoop. Heading to a station to repair some minor jump damage....oops.
EDIT: Arrgh...was SC'ing to Shriver Station and was interdicted. Blew up my wanted foe for 13500 in credits and got a dreaded "Lost Connection" error. This is a first and we will see how the game handles this on restart.

I'm out at Sothis right now, mining gold.
Sothis is so far out that nowhere is close. So I'll drop by Nuenets and check things out sometime next weekend. I may make a stop at Sol/Earth while en route, too.

I'm at Beetrix. Sothis was further than I wanted to go but I did pop into Munshin for the other CG.

Yep, I left for Sothis after the Munshin CG wrapped up, myself. I know the payouts were low, but I did super on just transporting the goods. Earned over $500,000 most round trips, and after 10,500 tons I left having banked more than $21 million. A fun change of pace doing cargo runs, but still not my favorite thing. I did get to see lots of those cool looking Imperial Clippers while I was down there, though!

Not sure if I am understanding this registered group/minor faction thing. They said something about eventually elevating a group to Power Play provided it meet some criterias.
Am I right to assume then that this will all transpire in Open Play ? And if that is the case, is the SimHQ Brotherhood currently prosecuting its activities in Open ? I am not certain on this. Someone has to submit the group for consideration/inclusion into the game, and I'm not even sure that's happened with our yet. And even then, there is nothing that would prevent it from appearing in Group and Solo modes, either. Then from there, the group will be one of those at the chosen station/system who can move up and down the political/economic ladder. Probably they just replace one of the default "Jet Purple" type factions with the requested player faction details. I've not heard of player groups reaching Power Play levels, but I do know that local station groups can be aligned with one of the three major powers.

Don't pick on me. I've been trying my best to get the pirating thing right. 1. Pick wimpy target in SuperCruise and message "THIS IS A PIRrrrgggATE INTERDICTION!" on chat. 2. Pull the ship out of SC, and immediately chat "PLEASE DO NOT KILL ME, TAKE MY CARGO!" 3. Drop 10 tons of gold and RUN as fast as I can.
