Does anyone know the folder or files to mod/edit, in order to change the name of a flight member other then the player? Or even in the A Flight group of AI names?

The question is not which file to edit but which program to use.
Once the names are assigned they are stored, along with other career and squadron info I am guessing, in a hexadecimal (I think) file. It sure ain't text.
Prior to "use" they are in a text file called, for example, BritishFirstNames.txt and BritishLastNames.txt. Easily viewed and edited here.

It's hex and I believe it is also encrypted because I've tried using a Hex editor with no luck.

Yes I was afraid of that.
Too bad. it would be nice to be able to tinker with a few things in there but not enough to ruin the game - a very fine line!!!

Might be an idea for a future version of WOFF - an inbuilt editor for the names on the "Duty Room" board?

Upon deeper reflection I am not sure what area I would change if I had access to this file?
Can't remember what I was looking for the last time I tried with some hexideximal program I downloaded.
Maybe my personal plane assignment?
Got no problem with names....or really anything I guess. Suppose that's why I am a WOFF slappy.

The pilot file used to be in plain text back in OFF and you could go in and change the names, among other things. I've a hunch it's the 'other things' the encryption is now meant to keep us out of.

Thanks gents..I guess your thoughts confirm my attempts to change the names of squad mates. Tried several txt files but even though I change the names in these files, they don't show up in the sim.
