October 15th, in the vicinity of Menen, in the mid of a furious mayhem known as the third battle of Ypres, I spotted and brought down one Allied pilot ....

I swear I watched him crash into the ground in a ball of fire ...but,....BUT,

exactly one week after, in the same place at the same time, I brought him down ...again. smile

Let me say he is a cheater, he won´t die. Not fair.

P.S: By the way, of my 38 kills with different Jastas (5, 10 and 18) I am still to shot a single bomber, or reconaissance aircraft, ALL are scouts or Observation ballons. I know this has been discussed before, but is so suspiciously,...wrong...

ArisFuser, my DID Centenary pilot has shot down the same German HA 11 times and most of those were flamers.

The multiverse hypotheses in physics helps to explain this phenomenon perfectly. That's what I'm going with anyway.

I'm betting he is. I shot down the same HA 7 times in one of my campaigns and again, most were flamers.

Oh man, it seems like you are flying a different sim to mine,...I mean, what is the probability to shot the same IA pilot 7 or 11 times after 100-150 missions? I would understand that in early 1915, but in 1917-1918?

Aris, it was in 1915. Mid-year if I remember correctly.

Yep, the same poor German, Gustav Leffers is his name and he must have the world's worst luck. He is the reason I really dislike how HAs are handled in WOFF, but since I've learned to mod the HAs I don't usually have this problem anymore.

That's correct - mid 1915.

My Esc Laf pilot's nemesis was Erwin Wenig in a green Fokker, also a frequent flamer. He often had a wingman named Otto K-something who would run and leave Erwin all alone to battle us.

But Duke, we're not fighting werewolf pilots, at least I don't think we are. Although, rather than speaking out of turn I should perhaps start taking note of HA reincarnation activity during full moons and see if there is in fact a rise in said activity.

Aris,
I also shot Leffers down 9 times so far (1915). Counting only confirmed kills, so there could be many more. The funniest thing is that I got him twice on the same day. Once in the morning and then in the afternoon. The problem is that there aren't any other HA's flying at this time. The Intell Room tells me there are other HA's in the area like some guy named Boelcke or Immelman, but I've never seen them.

I think Leffers is a Terminator and that's why he's unstoppable.

I can just see Leffers going down in a ball of fire yelling: I'll be BAAAAACK!

Nine times? How did these guys ever get to be historical Aces in the first place?

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

...maybe they were using the old Saddam-Hussein-Trick and installed Doppelgangers everywhere.
...or it's something else entirely: "We are Leffers. Resistance is futile."
