Well, I'm on a kick for the "Golden Age of SciFi." I am reading the Foundation novels from Asimov - currently on Foundation's Edge." After this series I have some Arthur C. Clarke lined up: All the Space Odyssey novels as well as Childhood's End, Songs of Distant Earth, and all of the Rama novels. My Kindle is charging while I do a little gaming . . .
The issue is not p*ssy. The issue is monkey.

Thanks for reminding me to charge my Kindle. I started the book about the JFK deployment in the early 80s suggested in my Cold War Carrier thread. Moved it out of reach of my kids and now I can't find it though. I just bought Doc, the Dwight Gooden bio yesterday and I still need to go back and finish the Ian Flemming James Bond novels I started last summer. Looking back at last summer I made a lot of time to read, but between switching jobs this past year, and my kids being older it seems like its a lot harder now.

Finished 'Blood of Elves' (the second Witcher book), now reading "The Shelters of stone" (5th book of "Earth's Children" series).

I'm also reading Clarke, I'm on the 3rd of 4 short stories collections now. After that is Childhood's End (never read it before.) After that maybe more Clarke, or maybe some older RAH - I've never read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress or any of the Lazarus Long books that I'm aware of. It all depends on what's in the Kindle Unlimited library.

Hellifax (Mountain Man Book 3) Keith C Blackmore
Zombie apocalypse series. Fun read. One of those series not in print, just e-book.
The Martian: A Novel Andy Weir
The upcoming Matt Damon movie looks pretty good, so I figured I'd read the book so I can criticize it. LOL Should probably see the movie first, "the book" never disappoints like "the movie", but oh well. Interesting story, written in log book style.

Just blew threw 'The end of all things' last one in the old mans war series, and am a few chapters into 'secondhand souls' by Chris Moore.
the sword and laser bookclub is reading 'a canticle for lebowitz' this month, speaking of golden age. I read that like 30yrs ago. I may have to dig it up and read it again.
And Ive heard good things about Peter Brett's demon cycle series, so I will probably start that to end the month.
Or maybe ill go oldschool like Letterboy. Re-hit some old Niven & Pournelle stuff.

It is turning out to be a very quick read due to the difficulty in putting it down for any length of time. Really enjoying it. Had the same problem.

I decided to start reading 'The Martian' before finishing 'Blood of Elves' from the Witcher books. I want to finish the book before I go see the movie.
It is turning out to be a very quick read due to the difficulty in putting it down for any length of time. Really enjoying it.
Really wishing I had picked this up earlier this summer when it was $5 on Kindle. At this point I am going to wait until the movie comes out and see if theres a sale. And if not, well, I'll pay full price for it given the amount of good things people on here have said about it.

Finished 'Blood of Elves' (the second Witcher book), now reading "The Shelters of stone" (5th book of "Earth's Children" series).
It is the third book. The Last Wish Sword Of Destiny Blood Of Elves Time Of Contempt Baptism Of Fire Tower Of The Swallow Lady Of The Lake Storm Season (prequel/sidequell/postscript) At the moment the last three aren't available in published form in English. There are complete fan translations of readable quality for TotS and LotL, but SS is still incomplete.
