I was thinking of going to BB to see if they had any ssd's but guess not. My Evo is getting full and I need another one fast and I hate to order things,,waiting makes me crazy.

Returns with Amazon are excellent. Print the label and return auth, drop off at UPS. Amazon considers it returned when UPS let's then know it's received that same day and they send out the replacement or refund. We have no Frys or Microcenter here, wish we did. I usually buy PC parts from NewEgg and Amazon, especially with Amazon's same day delivery, I no longer need to go to a brick and mortar for anything unless Best Buy has something on a particular sale that I want and then I do store pickup to avoid having to wait for shipping. I love Amazon returns, so painless and quick, and now with same day delivery it's so convenient. There's a Fry's about 45mins away but I rarely go there unless they have some special sale on something I need, it's just a hassle to get there and the store is always crowded. I wish there was a Microcenter here because they often do some pretty blowout prices on popular PC parts like GPUs and drives, but they aren't out here in the Pacific NW.

I want one of this built close to my place!! http://www.microcenter.com/EDIT: Not actually for buying, as I prefer online. But would love for a brick an mortar place to browse components, like in the old days. Ironically this was one of the reasons quoted by most brick and mortar PC places for why they closed, they said they were having to keep lights and heat on and pay employees to support customers who often just came in to physically browse the inventory and decide on their purchase, but then would buy online for a cheaper price that they had a hard time competing with since the online stores don't have those same lights/heat/sales employee costs...

That's your problem, you went to best buy, should of tried newegg.com. Best buy is overpriced.

I visited a store in NYC that was packed full of electronic stuff. I think you guys would have grooved on it reading this thread. I don't remember the name of it anymore, but it seemed to be run by mostly Jewish folks; the men had the curly, long sideburns.
Somebody here will know the store I'm talking about.

S That's your problem, you went to best buy, should of tried newegg.com. Best buy is overpriced. Agree Best Buy is overpriced. Newegg was my go to place for 10 years. Most things I bought came out of New Jersey, so even if I chose 3 or 4 day shipping I got stuff overnight plus I didn't have to pay sales tax on anything. Having said that, they are the worst when it comes to returns. I got the worst run around ever after I returned a DOA video card. Haven't bought from them in a year and won't unless I'm desperate.

I've only returned a couple of items to Newegg over the years, but my experience was excellent. There are always exceptions, but I've always heard of very satisfied customers.

Good to hear Lucky, I've never had any issues with returns to NewEgg, just earlier this year they even came through and gave me a free key for Witcher 3 when Nvidia starting offering it free with all new cards and I had bought my GTX970 5 weeks before, something they didn't have to do, but good to know it's not always a good experience, hope they don't make that a habit.
I do admit I buy things on Amazon sometimes when it's more expensive due to taxes just from knowing how easy returns are with them if I need to return something.
