Hey guys, I was just checking out new PCs and came across this build via TigerDirect http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9796143&CatId=114The specs look really good and it's only $3,376 (CDN): Intel i7-6700K 4.0GHz CPU 32GB DDR4 NVIDIA Titan X 12GB 2TB HDD 256GB SSD Liquid Cool Win 10 Home 64-BitI was speccing out a home build via NewEgg, NCIX and Tiger Direct and was hitting $4,500+ for a similar build. I can't figure out why this is so much cheaper. Any thoughts?

Wow... Thanks a lot, Remon. I wish we could rep people on this site. It's nothing. But tbh, that's some very expensive stuff. I was just trying to match the price. If you check some other stuff, you could have a similarly powerfull but cheaper pc. Yeah, I'm kind of aware of that. I'm lucky enough to have a job that pays good money and I have a very quiet, frugal lifestyle (no car, no kids, no nights out). I just fancy buying myself something a little nice/special for a change.

No car? If you have a job that doesn't require a car to get to you're not just lucky, you could probably win the lottery 2-3 times a month.

I understand the appeal of the high end, but what are you going to feed this monster? Witcher 3 in 4K with everything activated? DCS with everything turned up full. I used to be able to run it with everything at full on my current PC (i7-2600k with 16Gb of RAM and a GTX 970), but my girlfriend bought me a 34" ultra-wide Dell monitor for my birthday which runs at a 3440x1440 native resolution. That's been the tipping point for my PC, and I'm now getting very average frame rates. My assumption is that DCS 1.5 (and then Nevada and the Straits of Hormuz with 2.0) will be significantly more demanding, so I want to get a PC that can handle all of the above. Better suggestions are welcome, though. I just have a 7 mile each way bike ride to work every day. Keeps me relatively fit and saves me a ton of money. I have a short commute as well and have considered riding a bicycle to work but then I reminded myself about the asphyxiating humidity and heat down here in Miami as well as the almost daily rain during the summers. I live in Vancouver, so the greatest hazard on my daily commutes isn't careless drivers, bikers or pedestrians - it's the ever present possibility of drowning. It can get surprisingly hot here in the summers, but we don't have to deal with much in the way of humidity, though. It's only the occasional icy/snowy days that force me onto public transport.

I have a 20 mile commute through 3 cities (well, they call themselves cities, even though the entire county is only half a million people) so there's no option but a car. I suppose car pooling would be a possibility, but not when you factor in that the majority of the people who work here have over 10 years in the company and moved close. Still, I just have a fundamental aversion to spending more than about $500-600 in one go for PC upgrades, and that's usually only when I buy the CPU/mobo/RAM part. Rest of the time, it's like $300+ for a video card or under $200 for something else (drive, card, peripheral, etc). I grew up with cheap parents (not poor, cheap) so I rarely spend much on any single thing. The Jedi Master
