If this was a real DOS challenge, this is how it would like:

The Western Front.

A brave aviator.

The Albatros D.II. It doesn't look quite the same as in WOFF, but it was state of the art back in 1991!

Sorry, I'll stop hijacking the thread now. Carry on! biggrin

Eh, well it runs to the 27th, if you want to honorarily join in, you can fly some later in the month if you are up to it...

*edit: Hasse, I remember back in those days where you could choose from about five colors and four locations to paint your scout!

*edit part 2: Oh, and I can't tell if you guys are serious or not, but it is dos as in uno, dos, tres; this is the second dedicated Albatros challenge we have done...

Thank you, Rick, I will see if and when I may be able to join.
I'd join out of competition then, just for the fun of taking part.

Long time I haven't been able to take part in a WOFF challenge, so I would be interested to try this one (although my lack of practice these last months might lead me to an early end...)

I have some free time before I start my FSX tour of Australia end of September.

I'm still flying with 1.26 version, would that be a problem ?

Ok, I've been sitting on this character since the Anniversary Challenge when I went British to even out the numbers, so I am glad I got a chance to use him. Here is:

Steinhoff Lowenbrau, Pride of Munich, 4th son of Anheuser Lowenbrau, the renowned Brewster, is volunteering to serve his country in this time of its patriotic need! Not wanting to use his fame and family name unfairly, he has enlisted as a lowly Flieger ready to do his part. His only concession to vanity is to paint his scout in the style of his favorite pastime:

I predict there will be a lot of this in the future: beercheers followed by this: bottles maybe even some of this: dancinfools and, if history holds, probably this: goodnight

OK then count me in ! smile2

After finishing my Aeropostale reflight ( http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4006991/1 ) I flew down the Amazona river to the ocean with an amphib plane ( http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/topic/16638-amazonas-2015/ )

Then it was summertime and holidays, which meant almost no flying as I wasn't much home.

Rick, in the opening photo, what Shaders and/or Sweetfx are you using - it looks almost real!

Anyway, Flieger Colerhedge reporting for duty:

Another challenge? Outstanding, Rick! I'll get the participation medal ready for you Sir.

My pilot is a fine young Bavarian who served in the Bayerische Landwehr Infanterie before being allowed to transfer to the Fliegertruppen.

Being fully proud of his heritage he's had his mount emblazoned with his kingdom's colours along with his surname initial.

I look forward to the kickoff. Here's to long and illustrious careers for all concenred.

Zicke zacke, zicke zacke, hoi hoi hoi!
Zicke zacke, zicke zacke, hoi hoi hoi!
Zicke zacke, zicke zacke, hoi hoi hoi!
PROST! cheers

.

What should we set the claims and promotions in Workshop? Normal or Easy?

Here is my pilot. As soon as I figure out why my paint job will not show up, it will be up also.
