Just found this on Steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/254320/
Quote:
Pilot drones into derelict spaceships to find the means to survive and piece together how the universe became a giant graveyard.

It's an EA game but looks very interesting.I may go for it.I like the fact that you can control your drones via a CMD window.

Scott Manley tries it out...

I've been having fun with this one (must remember not to have any drones in the same room as a remote gun turret when I turn it on!)

I'm trying to figure out the best load-out for each drone. It would be great if you could name your drones as well.I want Huey,Dewey and Louie just like in Silent Running (if anyone remembers that).

This one intrigues me. Any idea if it'll run on an older laptop (Inspirion B130)? I got this one for free for just chilling while the wife watches TV, and Duskers seems like it would be a good way to pass the time.

How old a laptop? I tried it on an old Acer I have lying around that has AMD graphics/AMD Turon 64 CPU but it was unplayable even at lowest settings, especially in the drone view. The game doesn't look demanding but I guess it is. The devs said it would get more optimized but looking at the specs for your laptop I'm guessing you will have the same problem I had.A real shame because it's an ideal game for a laptop as you don't need to use the mouse to play it.

There is a 'demo' out there if you know where to look. The game is quite small,my Steam install says less than 200mb.

Hmm, thanks I'll have to track down the demo and see how it goes.

I've debate dropping some actually money into a real gaming laptop that's basically a generation old. Something that I could run say TW Shogun 2, or Rome 2 on with no real issues. That would cover basically every game I own at this point, and I could definitely get a lot more use out of my Steam games.
