And yet again no mention of DCS ww2.
Is fraud too strong a word here? I'm gonna say "yes". All of the money we put into the Kickstarter went to Ilya "not-entirely-reliable" Shevchenko who promptly "wasted it", for want of a more accurate turn of phrase that won't get me banned. ED then picked up the ball, but all of the development expense is on them. If you're trying to accuse ED of fraud, then you'd have to say that the execution is spectacularly appalling. You're basically saying "They're defrauding me by taking on a failed project that they have no responsibility to take on, getting none of the funding proceeds, spending their own money to carry it to fruition, compromising their own roadmap and facing a whole bunch of suspicion and abuse in the meantime". Worst. Fraudsters. Ever. It's not just DCS: WWII that's not being mentioned in the streams, either. The Hornet and NTTR are barely getting a mention now, too. The short term focus is on DCS 1.5 and the Albatross. I think there are basically two scenarios at the moment regarding DCS: WWII: 1. OPTIMISTIC - They're currently focusing on the underlying DCS infrastructure and feature set - new graphics engine and multi-crew. Other projects such as the Hornet, NTTR and WWII are slow burns in the background. 2. PESSIMISTIC - They built and released the FW-190 and the Me-109 and discovered that they're not turning a profit. That being the case, they're quietly trying to walk away from the whole WWII project. All of the signs we've seen to date seem to point towards option 1 being the more likely, but who really knows? Time will ultimately tell, but I don't think that "fraud" is a particularly logical conclusion unless it's directed towards Ilya's initial Kickstarter. Additionally, this feels like it should really be a separate thread.

If you feel it should be in a separate thread, maybe just say so instead of waiting until after you've given a fairly extensive view on a quite controversial (to say the least) subject? Given that I don't have the power to create a thread, it was either write a considered response or leave the original inflammatory comment unchallenged. I'm only human.

I'm guessing the comment about not being able to create a thread is sarcasm? Regardless...lets try and keep this thread clean as far as keeping the big debates out of it. I don't really agree with you 100% Pizzicato about the WWII controversy...but we will have that debate another time in another thread someday.

No, not sarcasm at all. It was just an observation. I guess I meant to say "Given that I can't convert the guy's post to which I'm responding into a new thread". Just came out wrong. Regardless, I'm happy to have all of my posts deleted from this thread. I'd rather it was just about Bunyap's updates.

I was responding in a thread that was about to turn hostile...it was an attempt to keep this thread about updates and relatively hostility free. The subject of DCS WWII is an open wound that I didn't think should bleed all over and dominate this thread. If you have a problem with that...then send me a pm.
