So far so good. I had issues with graphics and sound drivers, but that's all sorted.
Everything seems to work OK, if not a little smoother. I noticed load times seems to be a little longer, but the programs run better once loaded.. if that makes any sense.
The start menu is annoying.. like Windows 8 annoying. I don't understand why they do this, it's not a freakin' tablet or smartphone. It's a PC. Let it look like one and stop screwing with the very core of how I find things. So that will take a little getting used to.
WOFF runs good so far.. thank God!!
My Iron Maiden and Judas Priest MP3's run good.. but there is no more Media Player unless you pay for the $15 upgrade, so no more cool visual effects.. or did I miss something.
I say give it a go, because you'll have to be Win10 compliant sooner or later to get updates and support from M$ in the future.
All the best,
OvS

"My Iron Maiden and Judas Priest MP3's run good." I saw them both live back in the 80's. How about you? Aces High my friend!

You only have one month to revert, if it works !!!! There has been a number of reports of Win 10 not cleanly reverting back to the previous Windows too.
As they say, "beware of Greeks bearing gifts" because NOTHING is free in life, there is always a cost, even if it is not monetary !!!!
CPU = i9 11900K GPU = RTX 3080 Ti Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync

Why feel the need to switch from 7 wich runs ok to 10? There are no "real" reasons at all,until a couple of months ago I still had an old PC running with XP....I can't understand this OS frenzy really Well I still have my old XP machine. I too do not understand this swapping to win 10. If you get a game sometime in the future that needs upgrade then. Look at the commercial side especially Govt, where I work. They are evaluating it for problems for a possible migration in the years ahead but are sticking with win7 as long as possible. Especially this windows as a service idea, beware ! I have a bit of spare hardware and if the capacitors etc do not die I will have an XP machine possibly for the rest of my PC using life. (and win 98 as well, but that is another story. Still have a PC with a slot 1 processor that can run win 3.1) Regards MarkL

Why?... Why you ask?
1. it's free 2. it works 3. if you don't like it you have the option to revert back to win 7.... 1)Even W7 it was free for me 2) it works and it has reached a "meture" point while 10 is still in its infancy,and we all know what it means on Microsoft standards 3)On this I express many doubts but again,what is the "main" reason for going to 10? Seven has it all,it's stable,you won't gain anything in performance with 10,so there's really no reason to leave a good functioning OS for a brand new one,and Smart and Tablet oriented as it is 10,imho.

Well said C57. Just ain't seeing a good reason to go through the possible (probable?) headaches of doing it and/or switching back.

Sir Duke,the problem here is that people always seem to be going for the "last version" of something,even if the previous is doing fine.... It's a cultural matter in my opinion,the market has doped them all!
