Love the pics...

Sorry, I have not been following this closely. Are the summer maps part of an upcoming (imminent) release? I remember telling myself I was going to hold off on BOM until some non-winter scenery existed.

From Wiki: "On 21 August 1941, Tenente Giulio Reiner, one of the most skillful and experienced pilots of 9° Gruppo, flew the "military control flight" in Lonate Pozzolo, The Ufficio tecnico (Technical Bureau) recorded the maximum speed of 1,078.27 km/h in the Folgore in a vertical dive, with 5.8 G. forces while pulling out of the dive."

Not doubting you, but am doubting the 'Italian Technical Bureau'.

Yes the summer maps are part of an imminent release to BoS. I'm not certain if an exact date has been named yet but from my recollection it should be fall 2015.

EDIT: Maps will be free to all owners of BoS.

They can add all the nice shines planes they want. Until they bring the SP side up to promised standards I won't be touching this with a barge pole.

Nice looking Folgore though.

I bought every single plane and addon for RoF to support 777 Studios. I don't regret doing this as RoF was and is still an very good sim that can give a very decent SP experience. It was for this reason I had zero hesitation in paying $100 for the pre-payment of BoS. Since my experience with BoS has destroyed my confidence in their abilities I do not nor will not even support RoF.

I figured they would copy the same tried and tested formula with a WWII setting. It took me a few short months to see this was not going to be the case and my interest very quickly waned. It has been ironic seeing some of the people who defended BoS have now become some of the biggest "haters", or just walked away entirely.

Despite the fact the new BoS aircraft look like they would be fun to fly, I refuse to purchase one. It basically boils down to their horrendous business ethics (which we all know). I cannot in all conscience support a sim that is written by this company and that has been confirmed to offer SP players like myself absolutely nothing.

Giving them money now in some vain attempt of "saving WWII sims" would be pointless considering their vision does not remotely match my own.

Agreed, if they made SP funny I might install it again. MP's just so filled to the brim of people outright team killing, or being gifted with extremely accurate 37mm cannons against planes coming in with a very high relative speed and high angles.

Wow, this video is just pure justification on how "Crappy" and unrealistic landings are in BOS. If you landed like this pilot did in the Folgore, you would have bounced 10 feet off the deck and floated 100 yards down the runway. This is one of the most blatant errors in their FMs in BOS and yet they refuse to even acknowledge it. Maybe someone should post this over on their Forums and ask again , Why are landings in BOS so unrealistic? Be prepared if you do because the Fanbois will vomit all over you with, "Learn How To Land Properly!" hahaha
