Thought it looked like it might be our own railyard in the mission briefing so I brought up the map in game.
Never found out if my AI squadmates would attack this target as we were jumped by Fokkers on the way there.

This mission is vital to the war effort so it will be rerun.

Maybe it is about to fall into the hands of the enemy?

We made it to the railyard without running into EA. It is our railyard, no flak or machine guns shot at us.
WOFF gave us a vector to home as soon as we were directly over the railyard.

Told to rerun this vital mission.

Esc LaF put up a total of nine pilots. Four HAs in A-Flight with my pilot also leading four HAs.
I used auto pilot, turned on the aids, time compression too.

A-Flight arrived there ahead of us (all HAs have N-16s and my pilot the only N-11 flying today) and turned for home as soon as they arrived over the railyard. We did the same. Labels indicated "in transit" for the entire flight except for "forming up" after take off and "landing" when we arrived back at Behonne.

Third time was the charm... smash
No Rerun ordered. biggrin

Now we've hit a few days of bad weather.

Maybe it's a borderline one that changed hands recently. Wouldn't worry too much there's bound to be the odd strange happening in the large world with a zillion targets that also change hands.

Yeah, but the XXX VITAL WAR EFFORT thing made that run of three missions a total offput...crap happens....
It upped again at a different RR Junction near the front lines. I decided to to back click to main menu and reload.

I've no desire to fly a repeat XXX

No Big deal, just a heads up.

So far there have been three friendly RR yards that WOFF has loaded as a target.
I've circled them in yellow.
My solution when this happens is to not fly the mission, back click to the main menu, and then reload the campaign.

Maybe there's something wrong with the Verdun sector? I've never seen that happen in Flanders, where I've spent most of my flying time.

That campaign mission run is the only time I've ever had WOFF or OFF assign a friendly ground target.
It started on June 6th 1916.
