Urrà!

Pension off the stupid and old officers, otherwise they'll make trouble for Lord Guido,
and the Chief of state running round lopping peoples heads off isn't brilliant for morale.

It's not going to be so great...

Here is the totally detached Army tree...

And here the right order has been delivered.

yeah, I think I understand better developers that admit there's been great work going on for little to show.
There, it looks like that.

biggrin On the plus side, I'm playing.

wink

More to come.

Unfortunately I was sure it would have made them full size once clicked.
Still, that's just the basic denominations of the Theaters, Army Groups, Armies, Corps and such.

:P
Sorry. If I manage a decently sized session tonight I will highlight the formations in-game.
Promised.

smile

EDIT: EUREKA! If you right click on the image and "open in a new tab" it will be fully sized! wink

I took some nice pics even if nothing much happened last night's gaming session-

Since it was a bit I lost track of time and it was definitely too late to write any AAR or upload pics. wink

Here we are, after the longest time! biggrin
Sorry for that.

Here an overview of the remodeled Army. Some new High Officers are enroute, some old ones are being... promoted. wink

To make easier discern the sub-commandes here they are.

Westernmost: 1st Army North

Center-Northern: 5th Army North

North_Eastern: 3rd Army North

Eastern: 2nd Army North

And the two southern Army Groups:
The newly... "promoted" South Army Groups Commander.

Detail of the 2nd Army South.

Entire North Block- its movement completed.

Took some time to realize how my troops are deployed around my colonies.
This is sad. Around twelve thousand soldiers for the whole Cyrenaica...

A bit better here. Over Fiftyfive thousands, maybe I should shift some?
Trouble is- the highly unstable territories of the Horn of Africa. Can't remove a single soul.

Ah, very good. Another promotion en-route.

And an honest officer puts in his rightful place.

In other northern Europe fight goes on.

And it doesn't bode too well.

Although nobody ever gives up. Ever.

Updates.

The usual smack in the face...

A final look with some more technical good news. We use better our coal to produce more energy.

Till next time...

EDIT: To see better right-click and "Open in a new tab".

Nice to see this is AAR is continued, thanks for the update! smile Quite a task of restructuring the armed forces, right?

Not easy to be honest.
But a task made quite simpler thanks to the ART tool I shown some posts ago.

You see, there's no direct Unit/Organization/OOB tree to be seen in the game- at least not with the base game.
You can only see what's ranking immediately above and below ONE unit. At a time.
Lacking a graphical representation of the Army from the ranking POV, there's no drag&drop to speak of- if you want to change where and how units are attached.

Soo, yeah, restructuring an army, like that, it's an IMMENSE task. Well, maybe just VERY time consuming.
Probably if I was a bit more skilled in the game I wouldn't have needed it- talk about learning curve!

With that tool it's simply a matter of a bit of time and clear ideas.
If you have two monitors, and can swap fast between the tool and the game it's just ideal as you may have not quite a clear idea of the location of that unit lost in the Heart of Africa.

That said, I tried running a game with all the subsequent expansions and HOLY MOTHER it has improved!
No, seriously- that tool would have been redundant to say the least.

EVERYTHING is largely better running the three main expansions (off the top of my head: Semper Fi, For the Motherland, Their Finest Hour).

Seriously considering starting another AAR as soon as this is over with all bell and whistle.
I'd reconsider how I present it though- less "Upgrades" and "Political" boxshots and more action.
But we'll see- let's try and be through with this first.

smile Cheers.
And thank you all for the comments. Positive or negative, they are the best part of this AAR.

Lord Guido: "I want that AAR! Not Excuses, Admiral."

Komemuite: "But, Lord Duce, I have commitments."

Lord Guido: "I find your lack of faith, disturbing."

Komemuite: "Gak!"

Supreme Chancellor Hedgehog: "Enough of this! Guido, Release him!"

Lord Duce: "As you wish."

Komemuite: *Gasps*

Supreme Chancellor Hedgehog: "Very Well, Two Weeks. But if you fail us...." *Meaningful glance at Lord Duce.*

Komemuite: *Gulp*

Supreme Chancellor Hedgehog: "As I said, Two Weeks."
