So the Foo Fighters were in Toronto the other night and during the concert, Dave mentioned that there were almost as many RUSH T-shirts in the crowd as Foo Fighter T-shirts!
Then he built up the suspense by saying he had a couple of special guests ... his Mom and Geddy Lees Mom sitting sidestage!
Ya, I know, a bit of a letdown (expecting Alex and Geddy to come out blasting) but check out the horrifically unexcited Toronto crowd when the Foos fire up some Tom Sawyer ...
I just find that North American audiences are embarrassingly boring compared to other parts of the world. Holding your cell phone up to cap a pic isnt my idea of excitement.
It was my 40yo son in law and the grand kids that were at the concert along with the sis in law and her family. We had other things to do that day so we couldn't go

And besides, didn't moshpits go out of style in like 1992?

Maybe audiences are going through a new phase?
Yep, old people don't want to hurt in the morning.

This is actually funny and a valid point. How many people under 25 go to AC/DC concerts?

I saw AC/DC in 1990 and it was so loud in our coliseum that my ears were ringing for a couple days afterwards.

You haven't been in the front row of a big gig for a while have you 46 and still making my way with my girl to the front of concerts. You have to, that way you avoid the mosh behind you and you get to see it all without ten thousand people holding up stupid phones up blocking the view instead of just appreciating the live moment

Most concerts I was at I was too busy working to watch or listen to the music. Now the first Prince concert I was at (Celtic Park), he made his presence felt - the suspension on my 4x4 truck got into resonance with the bass, it was most uncomfortable
