We've got a brand new one from me tonight which sees russian forces with BTR support setting out to destroy some rebel BM-21 Grads on takistan. After that, it's back to the, currently rather limited, library!

1am UK, 8pm EST

Looking forward to it! It's always interesting and cool when we play as the Russian side. We don't do it very often. Hopefully after this session I will be fully adapted to the new radio comms.

I've built a new mission too, good for 15 players I think. Based on the old "Patrol" type missions we played back in Arma1. Simple, yet with potential for surprise!

It also tests an experimental TFAR setup, so it may fail before it begins, but we'll see.

See you there!

I gotta get the new mods and start playing again. Been a few months.

I'm in the middle of getting my IFR rating and that coupled with regular work has me slacking on play time.

that mission was great fun, felt sorry for the BTR crew who died so early on though, their support was missed greatly!!!!!

Yeah, I think the problem was it MUST be supported by infantry, view is just too restricted and it took only one RPG to take us out. Took out several guys before the squad we didn't see got us.

yea i might change it so the BTR has it own little support group with it. I honestly didnt expect the AI to be that tough, they werent anywhere near as aggressive when i played it locally!

That was an intense and atmospheric mission. It was interesting having to slowly advance between cover/firing positions. I was in Bravo, but I lost track of Alpha team, only seeing glimpses of them ahead and couldn't really do much for them. Glad I wasn't leading the team!

Alpha was having a wonderful time of it, right up until we weren't. It took us about two minutes to attrit by 50%.

Our medic got shot without any of us figuring out until well after the fact, we got our AT guy killed via backblast, our engineer got killed by someone hiding in a building, and we nearly lost a rifleman to the same.

also they had some headless chicken flitting about calling himself their leader neaner

Off to greener pastures

That was a fun mission, even if it was hard. It was do-able, which was great but challenging, which was also great. I have video of that one and the one right after it that I will upload to Youtube sometime before the next Monday session.

Great fun!
