In an attempt to gather any data I can on any type, model, series controller has anybody had any issues installing drivers/software?

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I am currently using a Saitek X52 with Windows 8, it recognised the setup immediately and was fully functional, bar of course the profile software, and annoyingly lacking the ability to turn off / down those rather bright blue L.E.Ds. Pleased to report that the standard Win7 64-bit drivers and software all worked a treat after installing it though, so all is well that ends well!

Two computers upgraded from Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) to Windows 8 Pro (64 bit) - both with Thrustmaster Warthogs and MFDs, Saitek Combat Pro pedals and Track IR 5s - no issues at all with these hardware devices under Win8.

Everything is working fine.

I've got an issue where my cougar won't get recognized by my Windows 8 pc. I've tried installing the different drivers in different compatibility modes and everything but I always run into the same issue.

Anyone have any tips to get it to work? Thanks

Saitek X52 - no problems

Warthog - No problems

G27 - No problems

MSFF2 - No problems (stick detected and uses built-in drivers, FFB works fine in games), but the sidewinder software is not compatible to test forces etc

Saitek Combat Rudder pedals - No problems

Spyder.....I'm sure there is a fix for the Cougar problem, it's a known issue. Will edit post if I come across it.

I would like to let everyone know I got it working just fine under Windows 8 now. Installed the 2007_HCO_VISTA_64_RC1 file in Vista SP2 compatibility mode. Everything would install correctly but then I would get an error about the STTubeDevice203.dll being missing. I did a PC search and I found it in E:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\tmhotasin.inf_amd64_b743326d254b6fea and I copied and pasted it into E:\Windows and BINGO it works like a charm now.

My Saitek Cyborg X does not work in win 8 64 bit. Also does not work in win 7 64 bit. Have not tried in 32 bit.

It is a known problem and I could not get it to work following the official FAQ.

The below post is from someone who managed to get one working under win 7. He was lucky as most people seem to fail. The same problems exist for both win 7 & 8.
